Great bargain
These are a pair of high quality headphones that for some reason are available on Amazon for a very discounted price. They come with a hard case for protection, which is a good accessory normally only found with high-end headphones. Obviously they are open-back and as far as sound quality goes are up amongst the better headphones. Don't miss a bargain. Recommended.

Sub bass....in an open back headphone.....oh yes.
Sivga phoenix.......Great headphones.....ive have owned audeze lcd2,s.....meze 99 classics.....sennheiser hd6xx, and i always felt i was missing something. Bass....i mean sub bass. I own campfire vegas and the sub bass is almost as impressive with these sivgas....they have it if you need it. Good solid mid-range performance for vocals and laid back treble, not harsh, but enough there for my tastes. Very comfortable......i can wear them for a long time..no problem. Best money ive spent on a set of cans....period. They can be driven off a phone...but i use a portable amp for more "oomph". Play "limit to your love" by James blake.....or "heard em say" by leikeli47 then you will know what i mean... A steal at the price imho. Bargain!!!!!!!

Great energetic sound, but some caveats...
2023/4 Update: Quick update. Bought the replacement pads a while ago which did help make them feel more comfortable, sound wise not night and day difference from original. Have collected a few more headphones and amps since then and haven't used these as daily driver, but I still find myself going back to these when I really want to 'energise' my music. Can understand the 'muddy' sound comments a bit more now but I still think the punchy bass and 'semi-open' sound is still great. Build wise nothing really to complain about but sound from one side cuts out every now again which can probably be fixed with a little bit of soldering, haven't opened properly to look. However I'm not really that heavy handed and my other headphones haven't had this issue yet, so maybe something to consider. Considering I bought the other pads and the fact it is £10 more expensive as of this update, maybe the cost value isn't as good now. I also did change the cable as old one went kaput, however I did use these a lot and it was super easy to change cable (uses standard connections) so thats a pro. Still rocking them to this day so I think 4 stars is still around what I rate (maybe 3.8). ------------------------- Headphones are super subjective so some brief thoughts in case it helps you. For reference I mainly used mid range sennheisers. Bought at £255. Have edited review after using them for longer now, but my opinion is pretty much the same. Pros: - Punchy bass and treble gives nice energetic sound without overpowering mids too much. Really enjoyed listening to my music collection again from Jazz, classical and electronic. - Build quality is really nice and solid. Materials feel good to the touch. Look great in my opinion. EDIT: I accidently sat on them with my large ass, but I was able to bend the headphone band (which is made of steel) back into shape and they don't look the worse for wear. Recommend not sitting on them though.... - Included cable and case is really nice. Detachable cable is great in case it breaks. - Work really well with mobile devices. Phone and tablet were able to play tracks at a good level and sounded great without using an amp. (EDIT: Powering through a dedicated amp and dac definitely helps seperation and quality. I have a Topping L30/E30 stack and I believe I can tell the difference compared to when I use my Kiio K3 and Earstudio ES100.) Mixed/Neutral: - Headphones fits on my head and leather headband is comfortable. However my head is average sized and had to adjust headband height to pretty much max it could go to. - EDIT: I wrote a whole section on Treble being high and mids sounding muddy on certain rock tracks. I still feel like that is the case but after using the headphones pretty much every day since I got them, I feel like I've got used to the sound and treble isn't as harsh and I feel seperation has improved. Could be this 'burn in' effect that you can google. - Semi-open sound. Sound is more 'in your head' like with closed headphones but allow some sound out which I think is great personally. Makes it feel more intimate without making it unnatural sounding and hollow. Negative: - The pads are super thin. I don't know if this is needed to give the best sound but the drivers basically sit on your ears. I find myself throughout my listening sessions just having to lift the cups off my ears for a few seconds to get them comfortable again. I could keep my Sennheisers on all day and not notice them at all, which could also be helped by being more open and letting air in. - Very happy using the Phoenix for gaming, but I'd recommend getting a more neutral sounding headset like Sennheisers if you care about accuracy. Conclusion: Despite the issues, I really love the Sivga Phoenix and don't regret the purchase at all. It has really made my music collection sing again and the quality build of the headphones really is the icing on top for me. The issues I have with the overall comfort and size of the headset knock a star off, don't buy if you have a large head or if your ears are quite low down! Hopefully someone will make some new pads for this without hurting the sound too much.

Good but high-frequencies are lacking
Good quality headphones but I found the high-frequencies to be lacking so they were returned

Five star headphones if you want a balanced sound.
Sometimes music can sound boring with neutral headphones. In those situations the Phoenix are perfect. They have a balanced sound that is fun and exciting without being tiring. I have found them to be very comfortable to wear too, but if you have a big head I would look elsewhere. It's hard to describe the sound here. I would watch the 'No Theme Reviews' review on YouTube for a lengthy description, if you want to know more. I have found him to be very honest in his reviews.

Good headphones, Crap earpads ?
Excellent headphones just a shame they come with rubbish earpads that are one too small to fit over the and two have almost no padding inside. Then they charge you almost the same price as the headphones themselves to buy a set of earpads that actually fit and have enough padding in them . Obviously done on purpose.

Strange sound
I enjoyed looks and comfort, but the tuning is very strange. Everything seems to bleed into the other making it muddy. Kept expecting it to burst into life, but never did. I really wanted to like these but returned due to unclear sound. Thought about Sivga P2 but usually companies tend to have a signal sound

A Good headphone only if you don’t have a large head.
Haven’t had these for very long so no in depth sound review but they do sound good.I thought I would post a quickly because these do have one big issue that may affect your decision to purchase, the headband isn’t designed for large heads.I don’t consider mine to be particularly large but they are set to maximum for me and only just fit comfortably. With most headphones I am normally in easily in the last third of the adjustment but not near the end(I presently have 20 pairs in my collection but have owned many more).I’ve only had this problem a couple of times in the years I have been collecting. Other than this issue these are good sounding headphones with excellent build quality and worth the price (£230).

Best headphone under 300 that you can get. These made me sell everything I had before or bought after. Sennheiser HD600, HD58x, Meze 99, ATH MSR7, Fidelio X2, HD660S don't stand a chance against these. Punchy bass but not overwhelming other frequencies and a lot of detail on the bass. Voices a little bit recessed but nothing bad cause there's a lot of definition in the vocals. Treble has a lot of detail aswell. Imaging and detail is EXCELLENT, soundstage not big but not small either. In general a warm, enjoyable and fun headphone while being detailed and not fatiguing. Confort in the beginning is not the best but once it loosen up it's perfect and you'll barely feel it. Build quality is also great and the cable is soft. Absolutely recommended!!

I really enjoy my Phoenix. They only arrived 6 days ago, I have about 30+ hours of listening time on them, the longest single listening session being @6 hours in duration. Some people find these too tight or too small for their head. I must have an average to small head/ears because the Phoenix happen to fit me pretty well right out of the box. I only adjusted the slider to about midway of the travel, and the clamp pressure feels good. They also sound great, highs are sparkly without sibilance, mids seem clear, and the bass... It is punchy, you can "feel" the sub-base without it overpowering or muddying up the rest. I am not an equipment or audio analyst so, I am not listening critically. I am a just a cat who really enjoys listening to music of all genre's - and the Phoenix do a great job with making listening to music fun, and why they are on the stand closest to me. I use my Phoenix connected to an Atom DAC/AMP stack so I do not know much about how easy they are easy to drive if connected directly to a phone or other non-amped source but, I think you would be OK because compared to other headphones I use, I do not have to turn past 9 o'clock on the Atom amp - where as on my X2HRs as an example, I need to turn the amp up to about 10:30/11 o'clock to obtain the same level. Tl:dr A fun slightly darker leaning signature with great bass extension (not basshead), highs that don't hurt, vocals that are present but not in your face. Good looking, good build quality (even the cable is nice). Excellent value.
