CREATIVE ART MATERIALS Luminance 6901 color Pencil 120 Violet (6901.120)

OK, I'll admit...when you add in my shipping charges, I paid a heck of a lot for one colored pencil, but this is my first Caran d'Ache colored pencil and I knew what I was looking for. I don't mind one bit. It's an amazing colored pencil. My requirements for a "highlighting" or "underlining" pencil for my reference books and my Bibles and devotionals were as follows: 1. Must be a soft lead that will not tear or "waffle" my thin Bible pages 2. Must not be a pencil that I will continually have to sharpen - a strong lead is necessary 3. MUST be a drop-dead gorgeous and lovely color...absolutely NOTHING that would scream "primary colors" 4. Must be from a reputable company that's been around a long time - one that says "quality products" Anyways...this pencil met all of my requirements and I did not mind paying extra for a pencil that I would use for a long time and be totally happy with. I ordered #350 in "Purplish Red" and it's quite nice, as you can see in my three photos below where I have underlined and highlighted various lines. This is a great color to use for that purpose as it really stands out and you can see the phrase or the word you need at a fast glance. In closing, I love the color and the wood used in the pencil is sooooo smooth in my hand. After having used just this one Caran d'Ache pencil, I fully understand why they are rated so high. So glad I ordered it and I will definitely pick up one or two more beautiful colors in the coming days. Well done, Caran d'Ache!

Great soft wax white. I have color pencils that are more affordable but buying this one was a most!

I am more than pleased with this pencil. I hesitated over the cost, thinking this is an awful lot for just one white pencil. I was pleasantly surprised to find that its actually a box of THREE! I'm an adult coloring book fan and wanted this for blending and brilliance for white areas. The smoothness is beyond description. This pencil melts like butter on the page and blends beautifully. It does soften the affect of your underlying colors, so that is something to be aware of. It is fabulous for creating pastel shades. I've heard for more brilliance when wanting a white area, that by using over another white, such as a white prisma color, really makes this pop. I am using this along with prisma colors at thus time. Now that I've experienced one of the Luminance pencils, I wish I could have more colors to use.

Caran d'ache luminance pencils are arguably the best colored pencils, those who say the Faber castell one is better I'm sorry but you may lack the technique to use this pencil, it blends amazingly even on really dark colors. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not five is that mine came packaged in a little bag with no padding or protection and the lead was broken. This is a very expensive pencil and they're fragile, I hated having to waste a half inch of lead for a pencil at this price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed a high quality white pencil for burnishing. After researching, I determined this brand was one of the best.

This is a great and necessary tool to have. The color layers and works beautifully with Prismacolor, Polychromos and have even used it with Inktense. Should you run out of tooth on your paper just spray it with workable fixatif let dry and presto!....you now have a chance to deposit more white. I did not have luck with gel pens as after drying the ink would flake off and could no longer be tweeked.... this pencil was perfect for keeping it all archival and reworkable. For super white highlights there is another product called Titanium White Powder from Brushandpencil.com. ...mix it with the liquid fixative and paint your super bright highlights on...however the shipping is a bit pricey.Overall i am happy with the amount of color this pencil lays and that it blends seamlessly. I also use Derwent Chinese White for more transparent applications.

Je suis très content de cet achat.. ils étaient très bien emballés, ils ont été livrés plus vite que prévus.. je m'en sers pour mes dessins comme celui que j'ai partagé avec ce commentaire et en plus, ils sont Faber Castell et Prismacolor compatibles autant pour leur couleur brute que pour les melanges ou "blinder".. je recommande vivement ces crayons de couleur d'excellente qualité malgré leur prix mais on s'y retrouve car ils couvrent très bien et s'usent très peu.. donc le bénéfice qualité prix va en leurs faveur.. bonne journée à tous..et amusez vous buen avec..! 👋😉

Da molto tempo uso questa marca di matite, ho ordinato un set che comprendessero i colori della pelle che non avevo (581, 741, 862 e 866) e mi sono trovato benissimo. Sfumano davvero facilmente.

For a white pencil i would rate this number one right beside my prisma color. I havmt tried every white pencil but ive tried a tooon of them . Its a bit on the high end but i think its worth every dime and saves me so much in fusteration level
