Q: Does this make a granary loaf?

It depends on definitions but I would say so, yes. It has a brown malty taste and colour after baking and the grains are evident in the crust and body. I also experiment with adding extra grains - about two tablespoons of mixed pumpkin, sunflower and poppy seeds. All the results are excellent with or without additions. It's one if the best flours I've tried. Rdu

Not tried other flour from Heygates.

Q: Does this make a granary loaf?

This is not granary flour but it makes a loaf which is granary like, slightly moist and malted. It is darker than a granary loaf. Do not add salt to the mix as it already contains salt and I reduced the amount of water by 10 ml. It makes a lovely loaf and has been a family favourite.

I use a bread machine .If you do to this is my recipe18oz flour 1 and a half tsp sugar 1oz of butter 1oz of yeast and 450 mil of water. This makes a lovely loaf. I hope this helps
