Just the part you need to fit a normal ATX PSU to a Dell
At work we have some old Dell PCs with non-standard power supplies, which are starting to fail. This cable was just the thing I needed to replace the PSU in a Dell Optiplex 980 with a standard ATX PSU (as fitted in almost all desktop PCs). The power supply doesn't quite fit perfectly in the case, but this cable does fit and work perfectly. It allowed me to use a new standard PSU rather than finding a used Dell one, and the industrial PC in question has worked fine since.

Exactly what I needed!
I purchased this for a 750w PSU for my Dell, which I purchased and then found out it wouldn't work straight off the bat. This arrived a day earlier than stated! AND just worked! The reason I needed another PSU is that Dell in their 'wisdom' put in 290w PSU in Optiplex 9020 i7 machines, you would think that they would put in larger ones... My machine is an Optiplex 9020 i7, 32GB RAM, Nvidia 1060, 7 x HDDs (Yes SEVEN) the original PSU was not capable of running all of this hence the need for a larger supply, so I just went overkill to make sure, I am sure I am nowhere near the limits of the PSU but just in case!

Got me out of a hole.
I have a dell Optiplex 980 sff. The PSU died (my second one) and a new one is hard to come by. I sourced one in China but I have to wait for a couple of months for it to get here. I borrowed a big generic external PSU from a guy but the main 24 pin plug is the standard type (atx?), and my dell uses a mini (btx?) Connection. This little adapter has allowed me to get the PC up and running on a temporary basis. The cover is off and it looks like a school project, but it works. I can work away while I wait for the new PSU to get here.

Works well
Used the cable to upgrade the power supply in my Dell pc. Work exactly as expected. Make sure you check the model against the listed ones in the description.

Does as it says
Works a treat. Allowed me to put my midi ATX Dell Optiplex motherboard into a decent case that fits a full size graphics card and use a high power PSU.

I wanted to upgrade the stock PSU in my Dell PowerEdge T20, since it comes with a 290W PSU. I found out that the Dell motherboard uses an 8 pin power connector not the standard 24 pin connector. That's when I came across this adapter. I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and just received it this morning. The first thing I did was disconnect the stock PSU cables from the motherboard and then removed it from the case. Then I installed a Seasonic Focus 650W semi-modular PSU. I made sure to attach the adapter to the 24 Pin connector on the PSU, and then plugged it into the 8 Pin connector on the motherboard. I also connected a 4 Pin power connector to the motherboard's fan connector. I made sure I removed the power cable for the SSD/SATA drives in the bottom bay from the motherboard, and just powered them directly through the PSU. Kind of a silly design configuration by Dell. So far everything is working great and I'm super happy with the results. My only knock is the slow shipping time. Two weeks is a long time to wait if you want to have everything up and running quickly.

Pretty fast shipping, except Amazon chose Bpost and they don't work really fast, so next day delivery was not true...
