Absolutely gorgeous piece of material. Although the colors pictured are the same, that picture doesn't do it justice. The colors are rich, yet subtle, even, and the pattern flows nicely. I am not a fabric oficiando, and have never purchased silk, but what I do know is that it doesn't have the heavy feel and high-shine of the satin I've used for other projects. I purchased this to treat myself by sewing a luxurious, silk pillowcase. I can tell that it would drape beautifully if used for a blouse, yet it isn't see-through. I wouldn't know if this is real silk, but I would keep it anyway. They do include an inch swatch of the cloth, I suppose for testing. The fabric measures just a bit over 36," and each end is a straight cut, so I can see I have a true 36" piece. Assuming it's not a huge pain in butt to sew up an envelope-type pillow, i will definitely be back for more.

This is the material intended for the pelisse of a reproduction Regency-period ball gown. It'll be lined to give it more structure, but the colors and patterning are lovely and will go beautifully with the under dress (that material was purchased from this vendor as well). It is expensive, but it feels and looks and drapes beautifully. If you're looking for material for a custom wedding dress, or really any formal occasion and want natural fabrics, this is definitely worth considering. Vendor packaged it carefully and delivered it without any fuss--the kind of transaction you always hope for, but are becoming rarer and harder to find. I will be using this vendor again specifically for the quality of the fabric and the stress-free experience.

This fabric is silk charmeuse, so it has a beautiful “hand” as they call it in the textile field of work. Unfortunately, their photo was done in poor enough lighting that I thought I was ordering a steel blue-gray background color. Instead, I received an off-white/beige/tans background color and print. This is not merely a “difference in monitors” issue at all. It is far enough off to actually be a completely different color, and browns and blues are completely different. I’m guessing they don’t actually have what I saw in the photo but I wish they did. Beige/Tans/browns I am not even attracted to and so this is a sad trip-up for me. But for those who like that color range, this fabric is gorgeous and high quality. They just need to correct this photo and not assume any old photo will do. This is not electronics or a toy. Colors are half the point when it comes to fabrics and clothing. Double check with them what the true colors are, and beware of ordering if you don’t get a quick response. People are often on Amazon for quickness in transaction and shipping. This said it was shipped from NY, so they could have sent it sooner than they did. Instead, it took a couple weeks and I am only one state away.

I’m very happy with this fabric. It’s butter soft and the print is crisp. Pretty much everything I wanted. I knew it would be very thin because I have travel size pillowcases made from mulberry silk that I got on Amazon. The fabric on those is showing no sign of use even though they get used a lot. I expect the same from this, pillow cases for my queen size pillows. I ordered a yard to see what it was like and then ordered a few more to complete my project.

Received. Nice, colorful, just wish they would use ruler on pic so one could tell size of print. It is really large size.

the fabric is lovely. Light weight and soft to the touch. However,I was a little disappointed in the floral prints. The pictures online show much more vibrant colo rs than the actual material. The colors in are more of a pastel and are significantly muted especially the yellows. The material would make lovely scarfs or piillow cases. I had intended to make pocket squares and was looking for more vibrant colors. I would order the fabric again but with the intent of making something in mute tones.
