I found this product by searching for protein powder sweetened with stevia. I won't touch most of the sweetners used in sugar free products with a ten foot pole for various reasons. That limits my options. Wanting a protein that is also dairy and soy free limits them further. Before I found this, I was using my husband's whey protein powder and doing my level best not to look at the ingredients. I've also used a pea protein that was sweetened with xylitol. Those are the only two things I have to compare this to. I don't find this to be grainy or chalky at all, which I know is a common complaint for plant based proteins. I was nervous, but pleasantly surprised. It can get very thick, think like an actual milk shake. At first, I didn't care for that so I watered it down. It grew on me though. Other reviews say that this powder is too sweet. That wasn't a problem for me. In fact, I wouldn't mind it a bit sweeter. Nor did I notice a stevia aftertaste. Stevia is the only sweetner I ever use though, so I might be used to it. As to the taste, it's not bad at all. Not vanilla ice cream by any means, but I don't have to plug my nose and choke it down. Maybe I'm imagining things, but I think I taste a hint of the tart cherry mentioned on the label. I actually look forward to my post-workout shake now and can't wait to try the chocolate.

Don't pay extra for the "sport" formula. I ordered it bc it boasted more protein than the regular formula but the only difference is the scoop size. the measuring cup that comes with the tub is about 1.5 times bigger than the one in their regular blend and the macros check out to be about the same per weight. I like Vega protein powder generally, it is less chalky than other vegan protein blends I tried and the flavor is OK ( not amazing, tastes a little artificial but most of these do ). if you're looking for more protein for a little less money, just get the regular blend and use a scoop and a half or double scoop.

I have been using Vega protein for years, and until recently have considered their product to be of the highest quality and worth the premium they charge. This newest iteration of their protein powder is such a crazy step down I can't believe it actually made it consumer deployment. We're talking "new Coke" levels of bad here. For example, this used to actually be a protein powder. Now it would more accurately be called a protein dust. This dust is so fine that it gets in every nook and cranny of anything you use it in. It's incredibly messy. Since it's so fine, any time you empty a scoop into a single-serving size container you get significant amounts of the dust splashing up and out of whatever you were putting it in. I find myself spending a few minutes trying to slowly, slowly tap it out of the scoop to avoid this but inevitably have to wipe down the counter after making a shake. Every. Single. Time. The flavor and texture have also changed here. What used to be a light and clean-feeling vanilla now makes me feel like I'm trying to choke down cake batter. It is much thicker and the flavoring much more intense. With the previous product, I could throw half of a banana and some almond butter in for a treat after an intense workout. If I did that with this current product it'd be so thick that it'd almost be like trying to drink dough. I now use only water with the dust, and it is still much thicker than the previous version when I used almond milk. I powerlift, and though I'm not a vegan I have loved the previous versions of this product and have had great results with it. I liked how high quality it felt, how I didn't feel bogged down, and how tasty it was. This new version is so bad that if it weren't so expensive I'd just throw it out. I'm currently looking for another protein shake that isn't a cake batter-y, dusty mess. I do not recommend paying Vega's premium prices for what is now an inferior product. As a sidenote - I have tried Whole Foods' store brand protein powder and it is the exact same dust "powder".

Liked the taste, high protein, and tart cherry for recovery. Even more palatable with magnolia uht chocolate milk. Fairly good product ingredient transparency. Looking forward to buying more when it gets restocked as it runs out so fast. #athlete

Among those who wish to go for Plant based good quality protein.Go for this 1.It mixes very well even better than whey 2.Taste is good enough (Vanilla Flavour) 3.Has very good amount of protein per scoop. But it is bit costly, perhaps because of Import duties.

Very nice protien powder

This product was disgusting . It made the protein shake lumpy and looked and tasted like soap. Also Amazon doesn’t accept returns for it so this was a waste of money. Pls don’t invest in this product.

First plant based powder I have used and definitely an acquired taste! Also provides a different consistency when using in things like smoothies and porridge.
