This is ideal for beginners. The wool is not a great quality, but is ideal for children and if your just starting out.

Nice yarn
I bought this set because it had all the colours of the rainbow for a reasonable price. I used them to make pom poms. Each ball made two large and two medium pom poms. The colours are very vibrant and the yarn is nice and soft. The only negative is some of the balls had breaks in the yarn which were tied together. This was fine for what I was making, but could be annoying if using for crochet?

Brought for someone to make item for me she has used 3"balls" so far+2 were not complete lengths ie "broken" plus many fluffy bits

Check your yarn weight
The colours are lovely. It's worth mentioning though that the yarn weights are varied, which causes inconsistency within a project. Some are DK and a couple of them feel much chunkier.
