Double torch butane

Excellent flame, and while the flame lacks the romanticism of the classic petrol fuel and with the noise would not look as good in those classic movies it is at least as functionl. Also it has the classic click. I like it

A superb upgrade to the Zippo range , easy to use and fill without the customary petrol smell, very efficient and clean .

I've been using butane lighters for a few years now and I am very fond of them. Unfortunately most Zippo inserts I've found unreliable and to stop working after a short while, not to mention the iffy flame quality. This item suffers slightly from these issues. Keeping a sustained flame is not advised. However overall, I found it much sturdier and functional than the off-brand ones I had, and the twin jets add an extra bit of flair to it.

I had high hopes for this. The quality feels high - its heavy and solid. It doesn't light reliably. I've tried everything - removed the stock adjuster limiter to turn it up, different gas and different fill levels, warming etc. - sometimes it will light several times in a row then not at all for a long while. Even when it is lit a tiny breeze will blow it out - it isn't wind proof at all. I know Zippo make these in China and unfortunately they just don't work.

I moved to jet lighters from Zippo a few years ago as I started smoking cigars occasionally and didn't want to carry around multiple lighters. I had a really expensive Xikar lighter which was great but just fell apart within a couple of years. I was in the market for another and came across this. Now it's actually about half price direct from Zippo, but they've been incredibly popular and sold out before I got to them so I didn't mind paying the extra here. I can see why they're so popular. Zippo have managed something quite extraordinary here and made their lighters relevant for cigar smokers, they've opened up a massive segment. And they've done it well, it's a really capable lighter. I actually found that the Zippo branded gas is quite low quality and full of impurities and can block the jets quite easily. You may find a better filtered brand like Newport works a lot better, and is ironically much cheaper. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. It's actually made me buy an Armor Zippo off the back of it, so congratulations, Zippo, you've successfully bought me back into the fold.

Overpriced like all, zippo stuff, but good quality, it's like a little flame thrower. Great for lightning the fire but a bit savage for around your face. Soon needs refilling. Nice finish but a few quid overpriced for the name
