Struggled
It took some research to find libraries and support. Apparently a lot of libraries do not support this size of screen. After a lot of reading up I found the MCUFRIEND_KBV library supported it the best to drive this display. Adafruit gfx will work for the graphic side of things. I have connected it to an arduino mega and now its up and running the screen looks very clear and the touch screen works a treat.

resources rubbish but good display
I used my ILI9163 driver I wrote for STM32 429ZI using FMC. I just commented out the frame rate setting. Works well. Be warned, finding resources for this display is tricky. The touch screen is NOT spi, it works same as Elgoo i.e. anaogue resistive but the wires are YP LCD_WR, XM LCD_RS, YM LCD_07, XP LCD_06. You will need to configure your example to match.

Why are there no mounting holes on the PCB?

Works fine after changing Library settings, no backlight control
It worked fine. The libraries have to be manually modified to accomodation it, it's a ili9488. However it doesn't have a power control pin (as they should) so one cannot put it to sleep mode to conserve battery.

No documentation, does not work, false descriptions.
it states "Perfect learning materials, enriching enough learning resources, and helping you master LCD display modules better and faster." but in contrary there is absolutely no documentation how to use this module. Also it states "Compatible with UTFT / UTFT_Buttons / Utouch Library, provide 12 examples for Arduino and 3 examples of STM32." but actually it is not compatible with any of these libraries. None of the examples work. It is not clear what do they mean by STM32??? There is no indication if this is a serial, 8 bit or 16 bit LCD. I was able to get some text / graphic on the display using some generic library and examples but the touch screen does not work even with these examples, so I guess it has a faulty controller.
