Great epoxy, especially when you want to be sure it'll never come apart.
The Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy, with its reputation for strong bonding capabilities, is a go-to adhesive for a wide range of DIY and repair projects. Here's my review of this epoxy, which comes in two 4.25-ounce bottles. Bonding Strength (5/5): The Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy excels in creating incredibly strong and durable bonds. It lives up to its "2 Ton" name by providing reliable adhesion for a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, ceramics, wood, and more. This epoxy is well-suited for tasks where a secure and permanent bond is crucial. Versatility (4/5): This epoxy's versatility is one of its key strengths. It's suitable for both household repairs and more specialized projects. Whether you're fixing broken ceramics, patching up woodwork, or bonding metal components, the Devcon epoxy delivers consistent results. Ease of Use (3/5): While the epoxy itself is straightforward to use, the two-bottle packaging can be a bit inconvenient. Mixing equal parts of the resin and hardener is essential for proper curing, and ensuring precise measurements can be a bit tricky. The epoxy has a relatively short working time, so it's important to plan and work efficiently. Curing Time (4/5): The Devcon epoxy cures relatively quickly, which is advantageous for many projects. It reaches handling strength within a few hours and full strength in approximately 24 hours. However, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's recommended curing times for optimal results. Durability (4/5): Once cured, this epoxy creates a robust bond that withstands a wide range of conditions. It's resistant to water, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Quantity (4/5): Each package contains two 4.25-ounce bottles of epoxy, providing a sufficient quantity for multiple projects. However, for larger tasks, you may need to purchase additional packages. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy is a dependable adhesive for various DIY and repair needs. Its exceptional bonding strength and versatility make it a valuable tool in your toolbox. While the mixing process can be slightly tricky, and it's important to work efficiently due to its short working time, the end results are worth the effort. Whether you're mending household items, working on craft projects, or tackling more substantial repairs, this epoxy provides the adhesive strength and durability required for successful outcomes. I recommend having a package of Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy on hand for your bonding needs.

Top shelf epoxy for knife handles, easy mix, set up time is reasonable, non-sticky when cured
Excellent epoxy for knife handles. I refurbish vintage (often badly rusted) Japanese chef's knives and make custom handles for those knives. I acquire the knives directly from Japan. I typically change the handles on my newly acquired refurbished knives because most the ones that arrive are cracked or damaged. Even if they are not, I don’t like the small size and feel of traditional Wa handles, they are bland looking and generally boring. I’ve tried a lot of epoxy brands and pot times and from my experience this particular Devcon 30-minute epoxy fits my needs. This Devcon product is well priced, easy to mix, crystal clear, waterproof, takes epoxy pigments perfectly, has the right working time for my needs and gets hard as rock. It cleans up well when still liquid with simple shop cleaner and it has excellent grab with wood to metal. The photos show a variety of vintage Japanese knife handles that I custom made epoxied together, hand shaped and added blades. The handle on the far right in the clamp is under construction right now. One tip for knife handles from experience. Do NOT sand or machine the handle until 24 hours have passed. Fresh epoxy, even this Devcon brand, does not like heat when it is not fully cured and heat generated from sanding can cause your parts will come apart. Even after its cured, don't put anything epoxied into a dish washer - it's a death sentence for the epoxy. Some of the 5-minute versions and even other brands with similar pot times stay sticky for a long time even when carefully weighed and that just irritates me. This Devcon product will be stone hard in 4-6 hours at the right temperature with a proper weighed mix. Overall, this particular Devcon product has the perfect mix of features for my needs. Hope that helps!

It is good stuff.

Use it or loose it
Works as promised but the resin by itself will start to cross link over time. I won’t buy it again for long term use.

Phenomenal for wood repair
I use this exclusively for repairing broken wood rifle stocks. It sets slowly, but once hard and cured, it's almost bulletproof. It can also be tinted if need be. Devcon has served me for decades and even with alit of use, the bottles tend to last me about a year or so which is really good for me. Also used on plastic and limited metal (at least in my experience).

Strong Epoxy Glue
Based on previous use I know that this glue, which seems to be hard to find in the stores, does an excellent job. I mostly use the 5-minute version which is almost as strong (good enough for all my needs) and very handy as it sets quickly. Thus, it is often possible to hold things together until the glue stiffens. On the negative side, one or more of the bottles eventually become difficult to squeeze. At that point I just buy another set, usually after a year or so. When measuring out equal portions of the two glues, take care to avoid cross-contaminating one or both nozzles by allowing sufficient space between the two lines of glue that are to be mixed.
