MyArtscape Paint Brush - Set of 15 Art Brushes for Watercolor, Acrylic & Oil Painting - Short Handles

High quality brushes for the price!! Despite being synthetic bristles I can already tell that they hold a lot of water/pigment and they don't feel flimsy at all. I went through and tested each brush to get a feel for the stroke and each one lays down a smooth and even stroke or does the stroke the way it should - as with the case of the rake brush. They're well made, clean, not showing any signs of excess glue, loose or uneven bristles - they feel sturdy in my hands and I can just get the sense that these will be a part of my kit for a long time!

I'm a beginner but I wanted a nice set of brushes to work with. This set was offered at a great price and gives me just about all the brushes I need. I started painting after going to one of those "paint and sip" classes and loved it! Having attended a few of those, I noticed they generally only offer 3 brushes, a really large one for the background, a smaller one for most of the painting and a detail brush. However, I often wish I had different brushes (while in those classes) so when painting at home, I now have pretty much all the brushes I need in this set. They are sturdy and so long as I spend time cleaning them well after use, I expect they will last.

So far, so good. None of the bristles fell out yet and for a beginner brushes I would highly recommend. The only brush that doesn't work as well as I would like to is the fan brush. It clumps up. So instead of making small individual strokes, it makes 3 clumpy ones.

I’m glad to have this set of brushes for painting with acrylics. I had bought one brush first, a half inch flat, and loved how it handled, so I went for the set. The brushes load nicely and have helped me achieved some very clean lines. I would recommend this set, especially for the price. Also, the customer service is outstanding. One brush in the set was defective and and since they didn’t have just that brush on hand, they sent me a whole replacement set. And I did not have to return the first set!

These brushes hold lots of paint and are very easy to use. Very easy to clean and they hold their shape better than any others I’ve used. I will definitely purchase again and recommend them to anyone painting with heavy body acrylics.

These brushes were recommended to me by a professional oil painter who commands thousands of dollars for his paintings. If they're good enough for him, they're certainly good enough for me. I've learned that painting needs three things (four, if you count talent. LOL) : Paint, brushes and a surface. In watercolors, good paper is most important. In oil painting, the paint is the most important. In both, brushes are where you can save some money. I have Escoda kolinsky sable brushes that I rarely use. I've found that pricier isn't necessarily better when it comes to artist brushes.

I'm just beginning to try my hand at painting, so my review is an amateur's perspective! This set has every brush shape I was looking for to get started. I find the brush texture exactly right for me, & haven't had any bristles get stuck in the paint, or come out during cleaning. I've used them with watercolors, gouache, and inktense pencils and color sticks. I recommend these to anyone looking for a good, short handled, reasonably priced, set of brushes. I'll more than likely be getting more soon!

I have never written a negative review before. I paint with acrylics. I ordered these because they were recommended on a painter's blog. In three brushes there were too many stray bristles that were slightly longer than the other bristles. (I am not talking about the handy little brush for painting grass and such. I realize it is intended to be that way.) The price was great, but the quality wasn't. Maybe it was just a bad batch, or a slip up in QC. I don't know. Not worth the effort to return. Most of the brushes were fine and I will continue to use them.

Fantastic quality brushes, some of the best I have used and great price. I am no expert but found these very easy to use. There was no bristle loss when cleaning. I have a lot of different make paintbrushes but find myself invariably reaching for these.

Really good piece of kit and very good value for money. Brushes seem to be of good quality although I'm no expert and haven't used all of them as yet but, of the few I have used, I was very pleased.

after a soapy wash and rinse the brushes are soft and work perfectly the thicker brushes have a goodwater bbelly so it is perfect for watercolour useage! happy costumer.

So pleased with this purchase - I get a real buzz out of using these brushes. They're great value for money and the brushes I've used so far work beautifully, keep their shape, hold plenty of water and pigment. I've not experienced any shedding at all so I'd recommend this set, particularly for beginners who don't want to spend copious amounts of money but need a positive experience in their painting. The set contains pretty much every brush you'd ever need to use, and more!
