I have been using this face wash for almost 5 years. My skin is oily and acne prone and I love this gel so much! It can leave your skin dry but if you apply a moisturizer immediately after, you won’t even notice. It lasts forever as you only need one pump to apply it on face.

The Vichy cleanser is gentle yet effective—it removes dirt, oil, and makeup without drying out the skin. After using it, my face feels clean, soft, and refreshed. It has a light, pleasant scent and works well even on sensitive skin. I love that it leaves my skin hydrated instead of tight or irritated. This gel is ideal for oily skin. After giving birth, it really helped me with acne. It contains salicylic acid and minerals that help reduce oil, blackheads, and blemishes. It’s an excellent option if you’re looking for deep cleansing and oil control. It can be a bit drying, but it worked very well for me.

I bought this for a relative who has oily acne-prone skin which is also sensitive. So far they only use this once a day (at night), to prevent excess dryness, and in the morning they use the Vanicream Gentle Cleanser. Previously this relative had been using the Paula's Choice CLEAR Pore Normalizing Cleanser twice a day which also has 0.5% salicylic acid, but it had been drying out their skin. My relative appreciated the pump bottle of the Vichy, but wished it was also fragrance-free like the Paula's Choice and Vanicream cleansers. The Vichy has a slight herbal scent that they find unnecessary and slightly off-putting. It remains to be seen whether the Vichy is more drying than the Paula's Choice; my relative would have to use the Vichy twice a day in order to fully test that. I will report back when I know more.
