This is an absolutely mind blowing book. I cannot put it down, each page is filled with tons of amazing knowledge and wisdom. A must have for those who are interested in Sufism- and its tenants teachings and practices.

A very good translation of an important book. It helped me in my own journey which lead me to accept the Sufi path. Some of the issues that come up, such as singing poetry and the Hadra (swaying while singing sacred poetry) are dealt with thoroughly by reference to proof texts and classical Islamic sources. The translator includes useful information, such as biographical notes, in the footnotes.Buy this book!
