Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolor Paint Cascade Green is beautiful in color, and is a welcome addition to any artist's palette. I use it by itself or blended with other colors; it does not disappoint! It's excellent value for the money.

Daniel Smith Makes Great Watercolors
One tube was damaged. I’m just hoping that the tube won’t crack where it’s bent and damaged. Aside from that, I recommend Daniel Smith paints in the tubes. I haven’t tested this damaged tube to see if there’s any separation of pigment from binder. If that happens I’ll update. Most importantly, though, is that Daniel Smith has fine watercolors and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to try watercolor painting. I wish Amazon would take better care with art supplies. These tubes could’ve used some wrapping or come in a small box rather than an envelope. I can’t open this tube right now to test it because I have to have a palette knife and empty pan ready in case the pressure pushes paint out. Don’t want to waste it.

Buy the best quality watercolor you can afford. Daniel Smith is expensive so I buy one or two when I can afford to. For your basic palette i would recommend these paints

This is a very beautiful color that works well on its own or when combined with other colors. It mixes well with other brands and adds a shimmery sparkle to whatever you’re painting.
