Busy Beavers Kindyland Presents Colors and Shapes

I LOVE this entire company and my son is OBSESSED with Busy Beavers in general. I needed to buy a DVD of this show to use in his room because I discovered it on Youtube, however he doesn't have access to that on his TV.Needless to say, via watching this on Youtube and continuing via the DVD, my son has learned so much through Busy Beavers! He is not even 1 year yet (he will be in May) and he knows his colors, letters, numbers and is learning his shapes as well as a number of other important, basic education. I am constantly shouting them out on my social media, thanking them for providing such easy yet effective learning experiences for babies and young children and I hope they make more DVD's soon!!

I absolutely LOVE Busy Beavers! My 2 year old daughter has something called a Sensory Processing Disorder, which is somewhere on the autism spectrum. She is very smart, but learns a little differently than other kids. The Busy Beavers dvd's have bright colors, fun songs & chants, which help hold her attention, & the repetition helps make everything she's learning stick. These programs have achieved more in the few months she's watched them, than the last year I've been trying to work with her. Yes, you can watch them for free on Youtube, but I strongly believe the constant Ads interfere with the learning process. Sometimes, she gets so agitated when an Ad pops up, I can't get her to watch the rest of the lessons. So yes, I bought the dvd's & I'm so happy with her progress, I could cry!

This item is good in terms of the video contents. However, I bought this (together with "ABCs and 1-2-3s and more) so that while I am listening to music or radio in car while driving, my children can be watching the DVD and listening through their headset but I had a horrible experience. I ignored previous reviews with the hope and anticipation that the manufacturers have made the product better but boy was i wrong!?The DVD will play a scene or so and stop. I have to keep pressing play for the next scene or chapter which 1, defeats the purpose of me listening to something else and 2, what even makes it worse is that sometimes when I hit the "next chapter" button, it goes right back to the beginning of the chapter that just ended. You would think that it will be better at home with a regular DVD or bluray play but that is not the case. You still have to keep pressing "next/play next" at the end of every chapter. REALLY FRUSTRATING. If you ask me, I wuld say don't buy this product unless you have the patience and time to keep pressing.

My children absolutely love the Busy Beavers, they could watch their YouTube show for hours if I let them. I wanted to use the dvd to distract them while I was cleaning or doing things around the house, however this DVD doesn’t allow me to do that. I should’ve read the reviews before I bought this dvd because it would’ve saved me a headache and my money. After every short video, you have to press “play” all over again. There is no option to have them all play, even though there is a “play all” option that is completely useless. After realizing this, I went to refund the item only to find out that I will be charged (funds taken from my refund) to mail it back. Needless to say I’ll be donating the dvd because I paid for it and I’m not going to pay the seller anything to take it back.

Our toddler has fallen in love with these learning videos... I mean, he has a craving for knowledge & will stop whatever he's doing (& special request daily) to watch Shapes, ABC's, etc. Much to my dismay, I can't stand them haha & blame my husband for discovering them in YouTube, but there's just something about the colors, slowness & the way the videos are made... We feel these really helps reinforce what we're already teaching him! He's already singing his ABC's to the end, spells words just looking at the letters, counts past 10, finishing simple sentences & on track with many 3 year olds in the basics, & he's only 2 yrs, 2 mo. old! We think these videos are an important component to his advancement... Even when I want to claw my eyes/ears out (no disrespect, Busy Beavers, you're definitely doing a great job!)

DVD does play all chapters just by pressing play as with other DVDs. It is difficult to navigate the chapter menu. The DVD is great once you get it to play.

I have a 3 year old who is on the autism spectrum and within a week he has already learned colors and shapes. Due to the repetitive nature this is been a big hit in our house and I can't get the songs out of my head

My two year old son absolutely loves these videos. He knows all his shapes and colors from watching these and us working with him. Highly recommend them.
