desertcart.com: Debt Collector: Her Last Breath: A Jack Winchester Thriller, Book 9 (Audible Audio Edition): Jon Mills, Adam Gold, Jon Mills: Books Review: Another great Debt Collector read! - Once again Jack Winchester never fails to solve the mysterious murders plaguing a small town in Virginia and holding those accountable for their part in them. From page one to the last the story moves along fast and plot twists are many through this story. Women mysteriously disappear before ending up murdered and found 3 days later in water. However, some are buried in shallow graves in a wooded area and have something in common; they are all prostitutes or were at one time. Many plot twists in this story has Jack looking at more than one person who maybe responsible, and the person who hires him is missing as well. It is definitely a good fast paced read that will keep you guessing until the last pages. Review: Great series. - I have read books 1-9 and loved them all. Great character and thrilling story lines. Well written. Character doesn't get old or predictable. Stories move along quickly . Easy reading without being simplistic. Compare to John Sanford or James Patterson. Well developed hero, (anti-hero?) supporting characters and story lines. Great reads. Couldn't put them down.

Hit and miss!
The storyline was good. I do have concerns about the author not remembering or following through on his writing. Maybe Mills thoughts while writing pour out so fast that he forgets some particulars mentioned previously in the story that things don’t coincide, match up or just fail to make sense. Or, maybe, as i have mentioned in previous reviews of this series that a new editor or proofreader is not catching these issues. This makes for “what?” the story fails to make sense in several bits of dialogue or descriptions. Thats said, I still love the main character, Jack. A “B” movie at best if ever put to film.🤨😊

Nonstop Thrills!
I loved this book and the Winchester Debt Collector series continues to impress! The villains were despicable and the set up in WV was interesting even if the book summary is misleading (the white van and electronics ban were minor parts in the story). Mills is a really good author and Winchester is an evolving and likable character. This series is underrated and I continue to be impressed.

Amazing. Jack Winchester: a new kind of hero.
Heros come in all shapes. Some are strong and intelligent like Supernman, others are astute like Hercules Poirot or Sherlock Holmes. But Jack Winchester is different. Youth in New York, no formal education to speak of, got involved with the wrong crowd, assassin for the Mafia until he realized that his boss was worse than the people he killed for him, family folks that were being extorted by the Mafia. So he changes gears. Starts working for people that have suffered injustice. Solves impossible problems for clients in several countries. Uses his skills admirably. Reads people’s lies. Has vices of drinking and smoking like many of us do. Dodges bullets, gets in fights, always on top. I look forward to reading book 10 and beyond. I hope Jack Winchester ends up on Golden Pond and has lots of stories to tell his grandchildren. Thank you Jon Mills.

Debt Collector 9
Absolutely a definite thriller and Jack Winchester at his finest once more!! Although the book made you think certain people were the responsible, the story has a definite twist. Without giving up the culprit, you'll be surprised at the end! Thank you Jon for another exciting read. On to number 10!!

Very Good
I have followed this series from book #1. Although I feel there were initially too many characters introduced in this story, which caused a little confusion for me, it was still very good and I enjoyed the book immensely. Jack Winchester tried to get his life back on track once he was released from prison (book #1) but this was not to be. Despite his vow to help those in need, it's not without personal cost and sacrifice. Now, here we are in book #9; Jack without a loving relationship, no dog and still wandering from place to place. Jon Mills has done an excellent job with a very well developed, but sad, character.

Great Book
This is another great book in this series. I have read 1-9 and am now looking forward to reading number 10. Jack Winchester is a wonderfully flawed and likeable protagonist. The results of his actions are always satisfying. There is a minimal amount of profanity, especially for the intensity of the action.

Have read all the books in this series so far. I I've enjoyed every one. Some detail here n there could be better some worse. But they're great books good story line good characters and it makes such a massive change for the lead character not to be some super soldier. Keep up the great work

Like the rest of the series a great inntecity, the Jack Russell that is Jack Winchester. He never leaves any stone unturned or any sticky situation unattended. Well worth reading.

Great writing, start with book 1 and work your way through as there is a very definate chronology inasmuch as Jack grows and matures with each experience and in many ways becomes more likable. If you have read Lee Childs Reacher, this is very reacheresque but it is very original and Jack Winchester is a totally different animal. Fantastic reading, can't put them down and as soon as you have read one you will be buying the next. Totally addictive. Jon Mills, please don't stop writing this series!
