I installed this in my attic and it is perfect for that application. Even though the LED bulbs I used don't get that hot I still like knowing I can't hit the bulb directly. Lots of attachment points too. Great build quality for the money.

We just purchased a 30 year old home with a full basement that isn’t finished. The original owners installed fluorescent lights which I want to replace so in the meantime these lights without the cages are perfect. I’m ordering one more set for a dark corner.

Purchased 3 strands to light up the bottom floor of a large barn being rehabbed. Heavy duty, well made, with the exception that some of the cages pop off easily if bumped. Outside that, I have been very happy with them. If you want a lot of light, you might want a strand with lights a little closer together, but for my purposes, these did the job nicely.

The price was spot on, and I’m sure the electrical cord well be durable. The cages are flimsy though and I wonder if they will stand up overtime if I need to replace bulbs more than two or three times and take them off and put them back together repeatedly.

At first I was nervous that the cage was made out of plastic and not metal, but they have been hit dozens of times by baseballs and not a single bulb has been busted. The string was easy to setup and hang and has been outside through a few rain storms and no issues at all.

Using this light strand to illuminate our festival canopy. Works perfectly.
