Good-lookin' shoes
As of 2014 July 23 these are, indeed, men's sizes, however the sellers for this listing have confirmed that they are going to be correcting the listing, so this may change soon.I have not had a chance to test these out yet, so this is based solely (heh) off of first impressions.According to Zappos these are vegan-friendly shoes. The canvas is thick and seems pretty sturdy. The thread stitching it together seems to be just as sturdy as well. The tongue is fat and squishy and I like that. The insoles are basically like a piece of styrofoam covered in a layer of canvas. The toe is hard, not steel-toed hard, but enough that you won't stub your toe on some concrete or a rock as easily as say, my previous shoes, which were New Balance WX813 (in black and blue, coincidentally). These have "C4 stealth rubber" soles which, according to their website, "allows climbers to stick to barely-there edges, lock into smears on microscopic nubbins and cruise up technical terrain with unparalleled confidence in their footwork". I am not a climber, but I loved the style of these shoes and I do tend to hike around wooded areas with rocky spots so I hope these help for that. The grip is amazing though. I tested it out by trying to spin on the kitchen floor and I was not going anywhere. And apparently you can get STEALTH Rubber soled shoes resoled. There are no authorized resolers in my state but for others that is probably good to know. Also, I like the shoebox they came in. It has a bunch of squares with "FIVE TEN" written in it in different languages.

Great shoe- My feet no longer ache!
I work at a camp and enjoy climbing, so I wanted a durable shoe that would be good for both hiking around and climbing. At the advice of a friend who was previously sponsored by 5.10, I purchased these shoes. They were far cheaper than the Scarpa, Columbia, and Evolv shoes that I was looking at. At first I wasn't sure about the way they felt, but I think I just had to get used to them. I've had them for a few weeks now and I love them! I have worn them while hiking and bouldering, and even to Six Flags! I've noticed while climbing, I have far better grip now. I'm able to push myself and trust my shoes a lot more. My feet also no longer ache at the end of a long camp day.I am usually either a size 6 1/2 to 7, depending on the shoe. I bought a 7 just to be safe, and they fit great. I also have slightly wider feet, and they fit okay there, too. I say they provide good arch support, but please keep in mind that I'm very flat footed. I'm not sure how these would feel on somebody with a high arch. The only thing that I find to be slightly annoying is that the laces are very long. In the picture, you can't tell. I'm having trouble tying and tucking my laces so that they don't get caught on anything. But this is a minor problem, and I can always get different laces if I need to!

Great sticky shoe but wears out way too fast due to thin sole.
Great shoe with sticky tread but the bottom sole is INCREDIBLY THIN. Wears out in a matter of weeks.

Amazing traction whitewater rafting!
I used this shoes in a one month long all extreme sport adventure in Chile, and now that I am back I am so glad I did! Mostly I did whitewater rafting, and couldn't believe I have been rafting all these years without them. The way the traction is when stepping on rocks off and in river is incredible. I am clumsy anyway, but they can totally claim, you just don't fall! It takes a little longer to dry than my enclosed Chacos but I'm getting them wet right away again the next day, so that wasn't an issue. I also used them trekking in wet conditions..worked great. I used them with thin neoprene socks and they fit great. I did get a larger size than I would. The shoelaces did get loose on and off, so had to do a super job getting them tight, but other than that...loved them....now as far as the look, well I got the brown ones and are not the cutest shoes ever, I wish they had the purple at least in my size when got them...but hey, cute vs safe...I am going with safe!

The shoe itself is awesome, but it's listed as a women's shoes which ...
Ok - the black and blue shoe is a men's shoe. The shoe itself is awesome, but it's listed as a women's shoes which is why I am giving it 3 stars. Thankfully, my husband wears the same numeric size as me in men's shoes so he was happy to have them.

they would have fit fine. But in fact they are the MEN's version
Had these really been the woman's model, they would have fit fine. But in fact they are the MEN's version, and so they're about a size too big. I should have believed the prior review making this point.

These are great shoes! They are lightweight
These are great shoes! They are lightweight, but provide decent cushioning (not as much support as some heavier shoes). The traction is excellent for walking on rocks. I hear rumors that they will wear out over time, but considering the price that is fine by me.

I like it as trekking shoes and reasonable price
I like it as trekking shoes and reasonable price. If it was added Goretex function to it, it would be better. One more thing I wish is faster shipping. It was a little bit slow shipping. anyway it was good.
