Brilliant white radiator shelf - looks beautiful, exactly as advertised - so good quality!!!

It looks nice and fits well. Well packed, quick delivery. However, holes are not pre-drilled (as it says in the description), you need to do it yourself which some may find tricky as it’s made of some hard-coated chipboard. Mine has a small defect, but can’t be bothered with return.

I've fitted this with strong brackets to a brick wall and it is still bending a little in the middle. This is despite it being hard against a solid surface from above (Window Sill) and it being coated in aluminium as an aid to reflect the heat. It is one month old now and still looks fine but for the beginning of a warp. The bracket areas are fine but the sides have gone down and the middle up. It is not a lot but it is now beginning to be noticeable. Perhaps it is something to be expected unless one pays greatly more for a metal equivalent. They exist but cost way more than this. Aesthetically, it looks well finished and ought to last a while at least.

Lovely shelf, looks good and is finally fitted safely- the latter according to the supplier. The screw holes needed a gimlet and hammer because they were far to shallow to take the screws (the shelf is not real wood and jolly hard). To get the screws fully in, I had to resort to an electric screwdriver. Unless the screws were fully in, the shelf wobbled on the bracket. Finally, I achieved success, slipped the brackets down the back of the radiator; but the front edge of the shelf was 1in lower than the back. I called a neighbour, a retired engineer, to help and he worked out which way to bend the brackets and adjusted them so that the shelf was level in all directions, courtesy also of a spirit level. The supplier did reply to my request for help, suggesting I bend the bracket but this was never suggested in the instructions. They also assured me after a second request for information that bending the brackets would not weaken them. I now have a firmly fixed, attractive shelf. The bent parts are invisible, but this is for over a radiator so not for heavy things. Oddly, I would purchase one again, but have better tools on hand, eg a stronger electric drill, a spirit level, and a neighbour with strong wrists and good spatial awareness on hand.
