In my opinion the WINBOT works great
The answer to your first question, does it work: Yes. The second question is the company that makes it good at followup: Yes. This thing is amazing. It works very well. I bought this particular model based on price and advertised weight. When I first turned it on it started beeping and the red light was flashing. Don't know why that happened, but the second time I turned it on it did just fine. Took about 2 hours to charge up the internal battery, this battery keeps the robot stuck to the window in case you lose power, but the robot will not clean using only the battery. It must be plugged in. If your windows are really dirty, like mine were, requires multiple stops to change the cleaning pads. On their website it says it is more for maintenance. My windows face the ocean and are about 30 feet above the sand. Being in Southern California and in a major drought the windows were coated in sand and salt, so that is why it took much longer to clean them. The people walking along the beach path gave us some very interesting looks while we were cleaning the outside of the windows. More information, It costs me $150.00 each time I have the windows cleaned so I figure that after two cleanings with the WINBOT I've paid for it. Maybe I'll rent it to my neighbors and make a profit. It comes with a big suction cup and bungee-type cord so if it falls off the window it won't fall 30 feet to the ground. Make sure you clean the suction cup and the window area where you are going to stick it, otherwise it won't stick well. Also, I found the suction cup after a while will come unstuck, so I suggest re-sticking it every so often. I really don't think the WINBOT would actually fall off as it really sucks itself to the window, I just like the extra security. I have a Wind Tunnel AIR Cordless vacuum cleaner, and the WINBOT is a little quieter than it. Did not scare the cats, in fact they were curious what the heck was crawling on the window, like it was a big bug. I had a question, not a problem. I wrote to the company and they responded very quickly. In fact the first person to respond was out of the office on a business trip. It makes me think they are very concerned about their customers. I can't think of anything else at the moment, you can submit any questions you have and I will try to answer them. Except questions about the power supply, etc. Those should go to the robot maker.

Don’t buy!
Bought one of these, use it one time to test it and worked OK, so I bought a second one for my parents, test it and worked OK too. Those were the only time they worked, after that the second time of each, I plugged them, and the green light never turned blue (indicate that the backup battery is charged) to start using the appliance. Seems that there is a problem with the battery or the source, don’t know which but couldn’t use it again. Returned it. My advice is just DON’T buy, no trust on an appliance you can not even use it twice, and that have the same problem with two different equipment.

because is a really good machine instead of this
The robot cleans well, but it has a problem with the backup battery, there is an issue with this, when it starts the green light start to blinks and then to the blue light and so on, it takes a few minutes to adhere to the window, its a shame, because is a really good machine instead of this problem

WinBot 830 is a Keeper!
We have a very large 14'H x 12'W (interior dimensions) set of 6 windows at the front of our house. The top three are trapezoids well beyond comfortable reach with a peak of close to 16' above the floor (I am 73 and abstain from ladders). After a year or so, we decided we needed to do something to clean the top set of windows. No one we trusted would take on the job, and apart from sloppy work, we were concerned for the saftey of the workers - the outside height is over 20,' and the safety of the windows - think of a ladder and worker taking a trip through the glass, not to mention the cost. Then I saw the description of Winbot. After proving up the non-amonia cleaning solution, and a call with the Ecovacs product support team, we ordered a Winbot 830. Amazon delivered the bot promptly yesterday; very well packed. After an overnight charge of the battery our first test was delayed a bit (we didn't relaize that you need to plug it in AND turn the switch on). After we sorted that out, we put the little guy to work on the inside panels. The Winbot did a very good job, probably better than I could, even if I was willing to climb the ladder. There was no direct sun but plenty of light and the Winbot pad left a vey clean path. There are some small areas where it cannot reach (within 1/2" or so of the frame, and within an inch or more of the peak of the triangles near the extreme top. The Winbot is a square, so it is impossible for it to work in irregular close areas. It's fair to assume most windows are retectangular or square, ours are not. We'll do the exteriors tomorrow, but I see no significant streaking now. I wonder if the folks who report streaks might have worked in direct sun or on relatively hot glass. I was just about 60 degrees here. I had a lot of experience cleaning sixteen 8' x4 mirrored glass panels on the patio of our last house in Florida. My first pass on those panels, with squeegee and clean cotten towels was no better than the WinBot today, and if we see streaks tomorrow, we'll do just what I did in Florida - clean again. Getting glass streak free is never easy no matter how you do it! Watching the WinBot is a lot easier than applying elbow grease. This is not a job that needs doing every week, or even every month. There are no smokers in our house and the rain doesn't leave much on the glass. The removeable pads that actually clean the glass are grey on the glass side and white on the "velcro" side. It would be easier to see when the pads need to be changed (from soild build up - hence streaking) if the cleaning serface was also white. We are oredering extra pads and will change frequently but white would be an improvement. The vacuum sound of the WinBot is a bit much for me, but a pair of noise cancelling headsets made a big difference. Our cats left the room. The WinBot is a keeper for us. The cost will amortize in less than a year, and now the whole set of windows are clean!

The machine worked once. The battery cannot be fully charged and the machine will do nothing until the battery is fully charged. The machine I received has label saying the production date is in 2015, I assume the failure is caused by the internal battery, the battery must be dead after lying around for over three years.

Me llegó abierto, golpeado y usado, incluso aún tenía la etiqueta de entrega de la persona anterior, obviamente lo devolví

Nunca sirvió, se quedaba carga si la batería y nunca funcionó. Lo mejor fue devolverlo.
