Good deal on hard to find item.
Hard to find item, did the job resurrecting and old NAS storage device. Good quality, good value. Worked well.

Works Very Well!
I purchased this cable to transfer data between a PC and a microcontroller (MCU). Specifically I want to set the real time clock on the MCU using a GUI app on the PC. The cable works very well and seems to have a high build quality. I will most likely purchase one or two more of these as my MCU projects continue to grow. Highly recommended!

Great product for anything including Raspberry Pi 5
This is an FT232RL chipped adaptor for peace of mind that it will work in any application. I use mine to connect my Apple laptop to my Raspberry Pi 5. You will need to enable the UART on the Pi, details on the internet or ChatGPT. I use the already installed app on the MacOS called 'screen'. The pin numbers and other questions again, details may be found the internet or Chat GPT. It works excellent as a console, if needed, for any headless Pi.

Solid cable
Feels well built, did the job I needed it for. No complaints. It just worked so not sure if I already had the drivers installed or Windows had them.

Unique serail numbers
Unlike some of the less expensive USB to TTL serial devices, these have unique USB serial numbers. This is important when you have several devices plugged into a computer. I use these under Linux where you can set up "udev rules" to give each device a separate name that your application can use to find a particular serial device, no matter which USB jack it gets plugged into. I assume Windows has something similar, but I don't know. Note: The VCC line supplies +5 volts, but the serial signal lines (txd, rxd, rts, cts,) use 3.3V logic levels. I don't know if they are 5-volt "tolerant". A 5-volt signal from your device *might* damage the line it's connected to.

I wish I could jusr label them as the advertisement shows
I received this cable with mislabeled wires. I have two VCC and two RXD. That is not what is seen in the photos, nor what I would understand the product to be. I can measure voltages but if they put the wrong pins on the cable how do I know the color of the wires are as they show in their advertisement? I'm rather disgusted in the quality of work and I really need to use the cable as intended, but now I fear tossing voltage down a path that will fry my board. Again, disgusted. Poor quality!.

Very good
The quality of this cable is much better than others I've used. The traffic lights are super helpful for debugging. It also has rts and cts pins if you need them. The only thing to know is the body is kind of big. I had to shave it down on 4 sides to allow other things to plug into my raspberry pi.
