Were you disappointed with your Ford's B&O "Ultimate" sound system that was anything but? Oh, it's great for high- and mid-range tones but the promise of Bull Mastiff bass notes is more like that of a playful Corgi. Definitely a dog, especially given the upcharge on my new Lariat. Here's the fix: easy to install, adjust and enjoy! Gives you the bass you expected and paid for with just a small investment. No, it's not going to drive the neighbors out or make the cop behind you go blurry in the rear-view mirror; but it's a great complement to your B&O system and you'll forgive Ford for not making them do a better job. My install: took power from the rear seat inverter with a fused cord and used the supplied pigtail to wire into the stock subwoofer plug. Bass Pro fits behind the rear seatback on the driver's side but other installation options will be available depending on your vehicle's configuration. Enjoy!

This was a lot easier to install than I thought, and is way easier to fit just about anywhere in a truck or car than a box kit with an amp. You just have to run the blue wire to the amp turn on blue wire on the head unit and run power from the battery and ground to the frame. I have a Pioneer NEX 8600 that has RCA sub woofer inputs, just plug them in and run to the sub. I also just ran the remote adjuster under my seat. Very solid product, sounds great, won’t blow your doors off but definitely completes the sound system.

First off, my installer says this JBL is better than the similar Kicker model. I bought this for my Porsche Cayman (2 seater) that did not come with the factory rear speakers option. I replaced the stock door speakers that helped a lot, but still missing the full sound and bass of a normal 4 speaker setup. Since my rear area will only accept 4" speakers, you won't get much bass out of them no matter what. So my my installer suggested one of these. It didn't exactly fulfill what I was looking for as far as the "rear sound fullness", but it added super-bass, almost a little too much for my taste. Admittedly, I have not exhausted my options with the EQ on my head unit to adjust the bass, so at the moment the bass is far too over-powering. This may be good for dance music or something like that. Additionally, I feel bad for anybody sitting in the passenger seat right above where the unit is installed but thankfully my head unit has an option to turn it off if need be. It's not to say it's not doing exactly what it's meant to do, or what you may want it to do, it just wasn't the perfect solution for my particular situation. Perhaps with additional 4" speakers in the rear and the right EQ settings, it will be perfect. I will update my review if that is the case. Hope this helps.

These are great sounding Subwoofers. If and when you purchase them don’t have ridiculously high expectations, you will never get the response and resonance you have come to expect from a larger enclosure. If you want to add richness and depth at reasonable volumes and nothing more these Dubs are for you! These speakers are for the mature music lover not the head banging crowd. They are not made for loud, they are made for quality not quantity… I recommend them to those that enjoy a fuller sounding car stereo experience. I love how they changed the dynamics of the sound in my vehicle. You can never go wrong with any type of JBL Speakers, the are made by Harman a Lansing Sound Company of which has a very strong history in sound reproduction. Thanks for reading my review!

Fairly easy installation on paper lol. Installed on my 2017 Prius Prime with factory non-JBL system. Had to research which wires I had to tap into the wires with T-taps but the instructions were clear. You have the option of RCA connections or line inputs which i used. Honestly, the hardest part was getting through the firewall. Sounds great with the factory speakers, a few adjustments and done. Fits longways under the passenger seat and out of sight. Great bass sound and depth across all music types. It won't rattle the neighborhood but not bad.

Subwoofer worked great for 6 months, not intent turn on. After checking all of the connections it was determined to be a faulty subwoofer by my tech installer. I have Brent trying for a week to have it replaced under warranty. JBL says I have to go through the seller-dealsonik- they won’t answer the phone and now I have a dead subwoofer.

Added this to my Jeep TJ where space is so limited. Put it in the very back inside a Tuffy trunk, not expecting much and wow, was I surprised by the accuracy restored to sound quality, especially since I’m using the stock head unit. Along with the tiny Kenwood amp and Kicker speakers that went in the factory locations (amp is bolted to the bottom of the steering column on a bracket I fabricated and only feeds the Kickers), the sound is exactly what I was looking for! Obviously, you aren’t going to get a real deep thump from hip-hop or rap, but rock and country, etc.. sound perfect, even with the top and doors off. I did, however, add sound deadening to the sheet metal of the trunk to reduce droning and vibration. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to hear full spectrum sound in small spaces

The JBL BassPro SL 8-inch Powered Subwoofer delivers decent sound quality with clear bass that adds a nice boost to my audio setup. However, despite its compact design, it didn’t fit under my seat as I had hoped, which was a big disappointment. I was looking forward to the space-saving aspect, but it ended up taking more room than expected. While the bass is decent, the lack of a proper fit under the seat takes away from the convenience I was aiming for. It’s a good product if you have more space, but if you’re specifically looking for an under-seat subwoofer, you might want to double-check the dimensions first. Three stars for solid performance but a frustrating fit.

Amount of Bass this can generate is amazing! Definitely worth the price. Could be the best thing I bought in 2021!

Read in many places online that this sub isn't powerful / doesn't give much bass. I have it installed in the boot of my Vauxhall/Opel Corsa (Wouldn't fit under the seat due to other cables already there), Level almost max, Bass-Boost about half way. and the bass fills the entire car, very impressive for a sub this size.

Je cherchais à améliorer la qualité du son de ma voiture sans avoir un gros caisson dans le coffre et sans claquer du gros boum boum façon jackie tuning. Le JBL fait bien l’affaire. Il est facile d’installation. Le son est vraiment de bonne qualité. Il est possible d’affiner les réglages pour optimiser la qualité du son à votre voiture. Attention toutefois, il n’est pas super puissant donc ne pas s’attendre à ce qu’on vous entende à 10km à la ronde mais il est un réel plus pour ceux qui veulent améliorer leur montage d’origine (ou pas d’ailleurs) tout en gardant de l’espace dans le coffre. Je pense également que le rendement est meilleur dans des petits véhicules donc attention si vous avez un utilitaire ou un gros 4x4, vous serez peut être déçu de sa puissance. Je l’ai installé dans une 407 coupé (pour avoir une idée) et je le trouve suffisant.
