FINGER-SAVING QUALITY!
I'm amazed at the quality of these gloves, especially considering the (under $20) price. my garden has a lot of plants with skin-irritating oils & hairs, so long gloves are a must...But I usually hate wearing them because they've always been too stiff, clumsy or hot. When I bought these gloves I wasn't expecting much considering the very reasonable price, but was hoping the goatskin would be better than others I had bought in the past. I was so pleasantly surprised once I put them on and worked in them for awhile. They were super soft and breathable and the more I wore them, the better they fit / conformed to my hand. The Cowskin cuff was stiff enough to stay up, but still soft enough to be comfortable. I was still cautious about grabbing thorns with them, for fear that the goatskin was so soft that thorns might pierce through. But then they accidentally passed the ultimate test...Thank God I happened to wear them while cutting branches with my chainsaw!!! It unexpectedly kicked back on a branch and grazed my index finger (which could have been VERY ugly). Instead, the (brand new sharp) chain barely cut through the surface of the glove, gratefully leaving my finger intact. I was even able to repair the abrasion with a little glue. I've since purchased three more pairs, two of them as gifts that were much appreciated (fellow gardeners of course). Although I don't recommend recreating my chainsaw test, I HIGHLY recommend these gloves!

Fantastic product
These are the first gloves.I have ever purchased that actually protect me from rose and blackberry thorns. I purposely went into a thicket of wild black berry and cut some of the Vine. And didn't feel one single thing. Also, I have rose bushes with wicked thorns and did not get stuck even once. The goatskin leather is thick and yet soft and flexible to move in. The gauntlets are made with swayed, which also protects. It is heavy duty and these gloves.Go up to your elbow. I ordered a medium but I could have ordered a small so be advised that they do run big. But this way my son and I can both use them as his hands are larger than mine. This is a high quality product and I highly recommend it, It's worth every penny

Great rose gauntlets
An excellent choice for roses. I've put these to test... and the gauntlets score as the best gloves I've used for working on container grown hybrid tea's. Fit - excellent, thanks to the sizing chart when used according to directions. I'm difficult to properly fit but these work for me. I have a short ring finger on one hand due to an accident with power tools, in addition to a bent little finger on the other hand. Gloves are good and snug, bend easily thus allowing an excellent grip when needed as when I hoisted a mature and thorny Double Delight out of a broken 22 inch pot into a 24 inch rescue pot. Protection - very good at keeping rose thorns from scratching and pricking my forearms up to my elbow. No bleeding... a definite plus. Price - very competitive from my research locally and online. Durability - So far they are holding up very well. This is my first pair... so I have only a partial season experience with them. However, they seem to be made from good material with tight stitching. That said, the store owner did follow up my purchase with an email which included care instructions. A nice touch. Shipped fast, arrived in good condition. These gloves are my new rose gardening gloves of choice.

Good gloves but NOT THORNPROOF
I purchased 1 pair each of the XS goatskin gloves with cowhide gauntlet sleeves from Rose Pruning Gloves for Men and Women. Thorn Proof Goatskin Leather Gardening Gloves with Long Cowhide Gauntlet to Protect Your Arms Until the Elbow (Extra Small) and Leather Gardening Gloves by Fir Tree. Premium Goatskin Gloves With Cowhide Suede Gauntlet Sleeves. Perfect Rose Garden Gloves. Men's and Women's Sizes. (See Size Chart Photo) Size S in the hopes one would be better then the other for handling physical chores on our property that require gauntlet sleeves. Both are identical gloves. The only difference is their green graphic/logo imprinted on the sleeves. Dexterity = Great. Fit = Great. Comfortable. Sizing = Great. True to size. Wild Roses: The gloves can handle them with only a few ouch moments. Mature Himalayan blackberries: If you plan to grab hold of cut canes and yank them out, you WILL feel thorn pricks. A lighter grip on the cane will help ease the Ouch moments. Young Himalayan blackberries and mature Evergreen blackberries: The gloves can handle pulling these canes out of the ground. No ouch moments. Canada Thistle: The gloves can handle them - especially if you grab them from "underdeath" and pull up. Bull Thistle: Ouch. Ouch. OUCH!!!! 4-stars because they are advertised as "Thorn Proof", otherwise they would have been 5-stars.

Ottimo prodotto.

I do a lot of gardening and was fed up with gloves that are either too thin and allow every little thorn through to gloves that are so thick that I could hardly bend my fingers. I was also fed up with nettles etc catching my forearms. These gloves are a great compromise. The leather is nice and soft but they still stop most rose thorns and the like. It did take a while to get used to the extra length but I no longer have scratches up my arms. These won't stop big nasty thorns but there are virtually no gardening gloves that will. The only other thing I would say is that I used the measurement guide and ordered large size but they do feel very slight too short in the finger - but then again, I do have quite big hands/long fingers. The one other benefit I have enjoyed since buying these is that if I am gardening when visitors arrive, they always comment on how nice and comfy they look and ask if they can try them - that generally earns me half an hours worth of free gardening help!
