As a college student, I've had to write my fair share of papers in APA style. What is even more frustrating is it seems that every website has a different way to write in the APA style. Too bad I didn't have this book from the beginning. The annotations are very nice and being able to see examples are incredibly helpful. I like the book's simple nature as well. This could have been an incredibly overwhelming guide. Instead, it hits the nail on the head just right in my opinion. Completely recommend to anyone who will have to write in the APA style in the future.

Good basic review- worked fine for a book chapter.

I love that APA Simplified has all of the information I need without being overcrowded with an excess of information I don't. It is especially useful as I am in college and need a resource to verify that I am using APA style correctly. It has helped me with all of the papers I've written since I got it, and I wish I had it earlier. The example of an "A" paper was especially useful, for it showed how to properly implement all aspects of writing a paper in APA format. If you ever write APA formatted papers, I would highly recommend getting this book!

I'm in my fifties and have recently gone back to get a second Masters degree in order to get additional teaching clearances. Hence I am an even stranger case than most non-traditional students. When I was a student MLA and Chicago were the dominant writing formats where I went to school. My current program requires APA and I don't have the extra time to slog through the APA manual. This book is a quick afternoon read which tells you just enough to write your papers. It is well worth the money and time.

This book helped me a bit with my works cited page, and a few in text citations. It was still lacking in info like seriation and many other in text citations. I had to spend time searching the web for additional information.

The Guide provides lots of suggestions on where to find vetted sources for scholarly research and the structuring one's written document. The focus of how to cite the sources used are provided in multiple occurrences of annotated samples and examples and includes specimen works of research documents that cover a variety of situations in academic pursuits. The work is easy to read, clear in its purpose and a highly recommended tool for engaging in and obtaining information on the advancement of knowledge on a particular subject.

From start to finish, this reference contains everything you need to create a basic structure, fill in the details, and properly reference sources in your APA style paper. The examples cover newer reference sources like Twitter, Wikipedia, Facebook, and websites as well as standard printed material. With a comprehensive index in the front and a sample professional paper near the back, THIS should be the standard reference.This took me under two hours to read, and there was some humor thrown in. I definitely recommend it.
