Very substantial cord for use with my generator. I just wish Southwire or someone would make a "FLAT" version of this. That way I could run it under my closed garage door.

I keep it coiled up on my generator when it's needed. Used it twice and it runs the well pump, fridge, and freezer just fine.

This cord is very well made and easily fits into the appropriate 30-amp Reliance Controls Generator receptacle. Keep in mind you are required to push in and twist to get the proper seating in the outlet. I am pleased with the purchase other than the cost for a twenty-foot extension cord seems a bit high (as do most things these days). Would recommend to others.

Good sturdy quality

I looked at 'more buying options' and found a used one (10') for $17 fulfilled by Amazon. I'm not sure what made it 'used' but it came in the original box with all the labels attached. I'm sure it would have passed for new. I only needed about 2' of this cord to make a short run. I also needed to put a L5-30P plug on the male end. I cut off about 8' and put the L5-30P on the short cord. It's being used to bring 30 amps into my house from a 4500W generator. Works Great! For $20 I was able to custom make what I needed with 8' of wire left over. If you found this review helpful, please let me know. Thanks.

Pretty simple. There are more expensive cords and less expensive cords. Southwire is an established company with a good reputation. I chose it on that basis. Face it, you likely will not use this cord all that much if you have a reliable power utility, so do no over-spend for something you may only use a couple times in your lifetime!

Seems very well made, works great with my generator.

I have now had to use my generator a d hence this 40 amp wiring srveral times now due to occidental power outages in Ottawa. I have had no problems with it. The wiring itself and the end connections appear to be very well made. Would buy again, if I needed to.

Bien fait et solide, le seul point négatif, c'est lorsqu'il fait froid la gaine devient rigide et le twist lock se défait par la vibration de la Génératrice au chaud, pas de problèmes.

This cable allows me to use the full 30amps output possible from my Firman generator. Before that i was using a 12 gauge cable with a regular 120v plug. I was limited to only 15 amps doing this. I should have used 2 of them on different outlets to get the max out of the 30 amps available. I now set the generator in 240v, plug this new cable and use a Westinghouse adapter to go from 240v to 120v (see picture please). It’s really a big upgrade during power outages. The cable is solid and a quality item. Probably 50% cheaper here then bought locally. *Update; as of today, July 14 2023, this cable as been used for another 4 power outage since the first review. It’s performing as expected and gives me entire satisfaction. It’s the perfect match for a 3600 watts gas generator. The cable remained flexible enough even in winter weather. Highly recommend *

J'ai acheté ce produit pour ma génératrice 10,000 watts. A la suite d'un essai sur ma génératrice tout semble bien fonctionné. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de l'essayer par manque de courant toutefois. .
