PlayStation 4 500GB Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Bundle

PS4! Great system. Love it. I have a had this for a few years now, and I am only now getting around to reviewing the system. It was a fantastic bundle deal at the time, and included a $50 value when you factor in the game that it comes with. The game isn't actually a physical copy. It is a downloaded title that plays without a disk. Unfortunately, with PS4, online play is no longer free and you have to subscribe to PS Plus to gain access now. This is disappointing, but I understand that maintaining servers is not free and they could not continue the free model. That being said, the graphics are pretty good and mostly look like what you would expect a next-gen system's graphics to look like. A lot of detail and very sharp rendering. It plays blue ray disks of course and comes with quite a spacious hard drive. They bundle in a wired headset, but really it can be sued with any Bluetooth headset device. The controller has a nice trackpad built in, which though I rarely use, is handy for selecting letters if you don't have a keyboard. I won't make the review too lengthy, because now that PS4 is old, most know what they are getting at this point, but I will say it has held up well over the years and I haven't had a single issue with it.

Preorder came in on release date, as it was supposed to. I really like it for what it is. It's a great console, with really good, and good looking games. This came with the new 1215A console model. I'm not a fanboy, but The main reason I have stuck with Sony, is the controller layout. I like the new controller ok, but not as much as the DS3, especially because none of the uses for it I have seen in games so far, are anything that couldn't have just been done with the old controller. I don't really care for the fact that the Nathan Drake collection is digital only. Discs make it more convenient, especially with the size of games these days compared to the tiny hard drive in the console. I like the headphone jack in the controller, and I like the fact that it comes with a heaphone/mic combo that comes in handy cussing out the campers in COD. The only real disappointing thing about the PS4 in general, is the complete lack of access to the back catalog of PSN purchases. I have 50 pages worth the purchases, and only one of those is stuff that can actually be used on the PS4. Unfortunately I sold my PS3, so I no longer have access to all my other purchases. SO just like everything, there are pluses, and minuses, but I'm still happy with my purchase.

We purchased this bundle originally on Black Friday and had the console for a few weeks before the disc drive mysteriously stopped working. Amazon exchanged it at no cost! They even sent the new bundle and told us to ship the old one AFTER we received our replacement! :) Since getting the replacement, we've had no issues and are considering buying a second system. It's SO user friendly! I love being able to access Spotify instantly and use YouTube and Netflix without the problems I had with the PS3.

Was quite excited to get the ps4. I couldn't wait to get out of box. Love the display that comes up on home screen. One problem i had was figuring out how to hook up second controller to play game. Soon realized you have to have 2 accounts one primary and guest. Click opposite account on other controller. The size is great slimmer then the ps3. Love the front load of CD disk goes right in. On the PS3 was hard to shut and wouldn't latch all the time would have to re-close several times. The graphics are very impressive noticed that right off the bat. There is big difference in the picture quality in games. I could barley see on uncharted games was so dark during playing on ps3. I couldn't recognize what part of game my husband was playing on the 4 because quality was so much better i could see the details so good. Only other complaint i have is on the controller to plug in and charge is kinda hard to get in and can see this being a problem with breaking if not really careful . Controllers do fit nicely in hands and makes for easy game play. Did take a bit to figure out all the buttons.

Fantastic buy. In my younger years, I have maintained dual systems in my house starting with the XBox and the PS2. When the XBox360 came out, I quit buying the PlayStation devices. Fast forward to the XBox One and the PlayStation 4. My father won an XBox One in a contest and kept it at his home for his grandchildren to use. It has been nothing but issues. Every time the kids go to play a game there are system updates, and game updates, which can take over an hour from power on, to them being able to actually play. Now I know that this is largely due to the frequency of play, but with the PS4, it's really not an issue because of rest mode. Also the game play is fantastic. My older son likes the Unchartered games (so do I), and there is enough space that we can play some other favorites too. This was a great purchase for my family.

As someone who missed the PS3 era in favor of PC gaming, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I got this because of remasters like The Nathan Drake Collection, and also because of future games like Final Fantasy XV, Persona 5, and Street Fighter V. These are just some of the games I'm looking forward to playing. The PS4 itself is a decent piece of technology. The controller that comes with it is great, even though the triggers are very sensitive. The headphones jack is very useful. You can use it to get full gaming audio and as a microphone. The controller is wireless and can last a good four hours before needing recharging. You can do other functions while putting a game you're currently playing on hold - like watch a movie, use an app, or even power off the console. I could go on, but overall it's another PlayStation console, you know the quality you're getting.

Inicialmente decidí comprar este paquete por la beta del Uncharted 4. Estoy muy satisfecho con el producto. Calidad excelente (como solo SONY puede ofrecer) El envió fue rápido y estuvo a tiempo. Ampliamente recomendado para cualquier fan de Uncharted o cualquiera que solo este interesado en conseguir un PS4. El juego viene en disco.
