Good for daypack
This isn't as wide and large as my Jansport Trans backpack but it works for me, female 5'1". I use it for traveling and hiking. I love the cords on the outer part to hold my jacket securely. I also hand a few carabiners on there for more storage. The side pouches hold a heavy 21 ounce stainless steel water bottle and has lot's of small compartments for little knick knacks.

Small!
This is a small pack! No laptop or much of anything fits!

Strongly recommend
For starters these backpacks are on the small side. This is what you'd expect with most if not all similar models out there though. Extremely sturdy and at least partly waterproof. And I've biked through very rough weather with wind and torrential rain. It should have let a ton of water through, but in reality the contents were only slightly wet on top. To be safe though I always carry a couple plastic bags inside to protect certain items such as paper towels and a portable phone charger. I've had a large food container, four bananas, a travel pillow and a few other small items all suffered inside the larger compartment. After 5 months it is nowhere close to ripping off or coming apart to my amazement. It also has three more zippered compartments around it, two side pockets and plenty of room to hang more items from it if needed.During the hot summer I'd bike ride for 10 miles and although very comfy, I'd have sweat marks on my back following the same patterns of the cushioning in the back pack. Not sure if that'd be the case with other similar backpacks, but I bet they'd all perform similarly there so I'm still giving it 5 stars.

One Star
this bag will not easily accomodate a full size laptop. The opening is very small.

Just a good all around backpack for day hike, carry-on or gym.

It's a GREAT daypack for school
I've had this a month or so now and it is rugged, well made, and I'd definitely buy another. It's a GREAT daypack for school, light hiking/biking, etc.

Well made backpack for kids
Well made backpack for kids, could use a couple more inches of depth to carry larger items.

Great pack!
It met our needs. Lightweight. Pockets for what I needed, including a place to slide my iPad. I would not, however, suggest it for someone who would be using it for school/school books, as the opening is on the small size and it would be hard to get that kind of thing in and out.
