Shrek the Whole Story Quadrilogy [Blu-ray] [2010] [US Import]

All four films are unique and can be viewed as stand-alone films. However, for maximum enjoyment, watching them sequentially the first time is best. The animation is superb, and the plots are well thought out. They are simple enough for children to enjoy the viewing but entertaining enough for adults to enjoy the storyline. The same is true of some of the humour - basic and simple for children, but with another layer that children will probably miss, but that won't be wasted on older/adult viewers. Quite simply, a brilliant series of films. Excellent prompt supply from Amazon ensured the delivery was in advance of the estimated date.

I got my copy of this pretty cheap and it was in great condition too so but as for the actual content, Who doesn't like Shrek? Well if you don't then this would be a stupid buy for you obvs!! In my opinion Shrek 2 is the best of the lot & the third the worst of the lot. and the the first and last are pretty the same rating wise and they are pretty good. This collection of all four films is a must for any collecor.

This is really a fantastic Shrek box, With al the 4 movies packed in 1 set! The Shrek movies are also the best animated ones of Dreamworks. Well, ...How to train your dragon comes really close! The HD video quality is really eye candy, Crystal clear with beautifull colors popping of your screen. And the HD audio quality is also a BIG + (esspecially when you have a 7.1 or 5.1 HD set ofcourse) The outside box what holds the Blu-Ray's together is really an artwork, Hihi. So it looks very great in your movie collection. Besides all the very positive news, ...I do have some little bad news to mention. The box says "The Whole Story" But it is not the whole complete story in my eyes! It missing the short movies unluckely :( 1. Shrek - The halls 2. Shrek - Scared shrekless 3. Shrek - 3D (the 15 minutes 3D animation that was given out during Shrek 1 DVD period) As these 3 shorts were also standing on the set, Than it would be "The Whole Story" for me. But despite the small minus, It is really a fantastic box. So a real must have for any animation fan or movie collector!!! Greets Ferry, ...

bought this box set for my kids as the old copies of the first three are scratched and they wanted the fourth. really good value for money i think. we haven't watch 1 - 3 yet as they love the final chapter to bits. not sure how well it did at the cinema but it is a really good film for all of us. anyone with little people will know how quickly films become annoying when watched repeatedly, but so far its still holding up (about 4 watches in three days). the extra donkey dvd is a bit of a disappointment; one half is really short and the other bit is a log fire with characters occasionally wandering into shot, doing a small party piece and wandering off again. it looks like the idea is that its on in the background of a real christmas party, but didn't really work for me. also, i bought this in february, so a christmas dvd is a bit useless. the films all have their own slim cases so we'll have to hope we can keep them together (one 4 disc box without the christmas disc would be my preference) but it is good to have the set now they're finished, and just over a fiver a film is very good value.

Having watched Shrek 1 which I enjoyed but my 5 year old was not as interested in, I thought perhaps the sequels would be worth seeing. And I am so glad... he watched all three new ones over the weekend and thought they were brilliant! Hubbie and I managed to catch part of each, can't wait to see them in the entirety as they continue the high standard of comedy! Plus the DVDs are in small cases, so the box set is smaller than most, easy to store.

It is really cool to buy this if you own a blu-ray player and a full HD TV. The quality is perfect. So good that you can see how the first shrek movie is robotically animated, and that is actually not so good... rather disturbing. You don't notice it in shrek 2-3-4, so don't you worry ;) Shrek 2 or 4 are the best (hard to say which is the better one), then comes the first shrek not so far behind, and far behind is the third one, where the story is a bit of a disappointment. I say "BUY IT!!" You won't regret it

Loved this box set. Comes with additional bonus disc. My kids love it too, there's lots of extras on the menus. Did come to the conclusion however that it may not be the most age appropriate item for my 3&5 year old, but I'll just avoid telling them what all the innuendo means....

hi. i bought the 4 pack dvd of shrek and the first dvd is faulty - it skips quite abit of the film during the middle of it. the other 3 dvds are fine and the delivery of the product was great, but i dont know who to contact regarding this one faulty part. ideally i would like a replacement of the 1st dvd. if anyone from amazon can contact me to let me know how i can get this resolved i'd appreciate it. thanks.

Muy buena colección en formato blu ray con 1080 p de definición y contienen las 4 películas obvio con el doblaje al español latino y aubtitulos igual eb ingles y en español con dts muy buena colección aparte trae extras de cada una de las películas el precio no es tan barato pero llego muy bien cuídado y vale la pena

Je l avait deja et offert mes je les repris pour mes enfants j adore et eux aussi donc je recommande aux fan de cette franchise possède les 4 en un coffret rien de mieux je les et pris en DVD l image n a pas énormément de différence en blue ray sauté sur cette édition

I've been a fan of Shrek long since before it was an unstoppable juggernaut franchise. I watched the first in the theater before it was even yet a hit. I've followed it from its surprise hit status to name brand status. Watching these in Blu-Ray is like watching them again for the first time, taking me back to first seeing them in the theaters, long before they were cannon. The picture is so clear and pristine it makes it worth double dipping. There's a ton of special features, including those on the previous sets. While there is not DVD copy or Digital Copy as found in most modern Blu-Ray sets, I'm not too disappointed as (1) I have the DVDs, and (2) now that I have the blu-ray I have no interest in watching the DVDs. If I had one complaint its that the set doesn't contain either holiday special (Christmas and Halloween). It doesn't kill the set, and frankly they aren't that great, just a little disappointed as this is called the "whole story." Regardless, it's a great set, and looks wonderful. Highly recommended to fans.

My husband loves these movies. Hes 25, and he laughs every time we watch them. Obviously the first is the best, but who can beat all four for under $30!? A little "potty" humour, but that's what makes it funny for us adults. Great story about accepting who you are, be it ogre or beautiful princess, and the value of the people who surround you. I love the part where Shrek tells Fiona he thinks she's beautiful as an ogre - I feel like every girl should realize that you don't have to be what society says is beautiful to be a princess in the eyes of your prince. You can just be who you really are.
