This pillow is more than just a meditation or yoga pillow if you have back problems from standing all day or sitting, this is the perfect pillow to just lay on as if you’re practicing yoga, but you’re really relaxing. I was introduced to this pillow in yoga class doing just that and immediately ran to Amazon to purchase this pillow, I love the firmness of it. I bought the beige pillow, which is gorgeous, the size is perfect it’s exactly like the pillow from my Yoga Studio with the exact firmness that I was looking for upon opening it it does have a smell, but it’s a new smell just like any other thing you purchase that’s brand new eventually after so many uses, it will air out and go away. It’s not extremely strong and unbearable, but there is a fabric scent , it’s exactly what I was looking for. The firmness and cover texture is perfect. It’s not heavy. You have to be extremely weak to consider this pillow heavy. It’s perfect.

I bought this pillow to use with helping me stretch and in a new yoga routine. I wasn't real sure what to expect with using one but so far this one has been great. Is quite sturdy and firm. Like an arm of an old couch I'd guess you could call it. When removing it from the package there was a slight chemical smell but after airing out for 24 hours I couldn't smell it anymore. I'd recommend this pillow for meditating or yoga/stretching.

This is a great yoga bolster for the price. It is firm and functions well for my home yoga practice. My only issue is with the odor of the product since it has been covered in plastic in the warehouse since it was shipped out. There are organic natural products like cotton cover and the buckwheat filling in the bolster. Fortunately there are two (2) separate covers on the bolster. That includes the initial zippered wheat colored cover that contains the buckwheat and then the colored cover over the initial cover. I would assume that over time, the odor will dissipate, especially if I wash the top cover. Overall it is a good product like those at the yoga studios.

This bolster is awesome. I moved and have yet to find a new yoga community and decided to practice at home with online videos. A firm, thick bolster is essential for my practice as I have very tight hamstrings and hips. This makes my practice much more effective. I am throughly satisfied with this purchase and now happily practicing at home

My studio uses Hugger Mugger bolsters, so that's been my standard reference bolster 3 times a week for the last 6 years. I've read reviews that say this is the value alternative, even claiming that this model was almost equivalent. And they say, it has a washable cover. So that slammed itout of the park for me, and I ordered one. This bolster isn't in the same league, at all. It is no where near as sturdy or firm as the HM, and even after using it for a few hours it started to actually get lumpy in places as the cotton batting inside was compressed. I had NEVER seen that happen with the Hugger Mugger bolsters at my studio, and they had been around for more than 6 years (although I'm not sure how often they replace them- I'm thinking never) I was also alarmed at how I could bend my bolster almost in half... that is really wimpy for something that's supposed to be supportive. It was horrible when placed on two blocks to provide a reclining slanted backrest for open heart positions, as the yoga blocks would dig into and visibly deform the bolster a lot. Doesn't happen with the HMs in my experience, not to the extent observed. Ugh, I hate the idea of having to dry clean a frickin' yoga bolster, but I'm going to order an authentic Hugger Mugger, maybe in dark gray so it can go a little longer between professional cleanings. Pain in the butt, but at least I'll have a bolster properly performing while I practice. If you're really, really on a tight budget, would I recommend this? I guess, but it really is such a poorly performing option, I would say maybe wait to save up for the better option. I would have loved for this budget option to have worked out, but it's just not good enough for what I need it to do. Also the fact that it looked like crap after an afternoon of use, with it's loose fitting cover, lumps, and irregular shape has made me fairly confident this isn't going to last to long in real practice and I'll have to buy a replacement anyway. I would love to know how they got it to look so good in the product photo. You know what, just don't buy this, or if you really have to try it for yourself, be prepared to return it.

Outstanding in every way. The bolster is true to color, size, and shape. It arrived earlier than expected. It is perfect for me to elevate my hips and sit in a comfortable posture for meditation; I can see myself using it as a support in my (beginning-intermediate) yoga practice as well. The bolster is heavy for its size and feels very sturdy. The removable cover can come off for cleaning. It's beautiful and useful, exactly what I wanted.
