Authentic Traditional Organic Chebe powder from Chad 50g (1.76 ounce)

I bought this last year and I'm just now getting around to using it, I wash my hair once a week and I've used this for my last three washes, I mix it according to the directions, I use it as a pre-poo, leave it in my hair for an hour or two abd wash it out, my hair and to live it so far, it's definitely stronger, easy less shedding. I'm ordering more because I ran out of it. I make sure not to get it on my scalp, and rinse it out thoroughly to avoid residue, it's definitely worth it.

This product makes a wonderful mud to apply to the length of the hair. I make the mud, moisten my hair, then apply a layer of mud to the length of my hair, avoiding the scalp. I then emulsify organic refined pure lanolin, press in into the length of the hair, then apply more mud. Then I gently make two or four giant braids (make as many as you like though) and let it chill a full day and overnight (or even a couple days) before washing it out. Do this every week or so and your hair stays long and healthy. This is a great conditioning treatment!

I’ve seen the videos of the Chadean women using chebe and wanted to try this for some time but it looked messy and hard to use while going into the office every day. Since the pandemic I’ve been working from home daily so this was the perfect time to give it a try. My First couple of times, I made a paste using the powder, my favorite growth oils and a little leave in conditioner. I applied it every couple of days after cowashing and yes it is a bit messy and gritty. There is no way I would have been able to pull this off going into the office unless I wore a wig. I will say that it appears to be super moisturizing as you can see in the picture my hair instantly curls up when I apply this. I then twisted my hair and wore it for a couple of days. The last time I applied this I opted to boil and strain the powder like a tea using cheese cloth. This way I could apply like a liquid leave in. Again, I did mix some of my regular liquid leave in and followed my regular LCO method. It was still moisturizing but a little less messy and no grit left on my hair. I can see how this promotes healthy growth since it acts as a moisture retention aid in conjunction with proper care but I would not consider it a growth aid solely. I would recommend this with the caveat of pampering your tresses and maintaining healthy trims.

I did the big chop in August of 2020 during the pandamic and decided to purchase this powder to regrow my hair. Well, needless to say, my hair has grown thicker with the use of adding this powder with olive oil, jamaican black Castor Oil, and peppermint oil in a small squeeze bottle. Yes, it does have a slight scent, but it's not going to kill you. Likewise, applying a good leave-in conditioner before use is also helpful to buffer the scent. Now, because we couldn't go anywhere during the pandamic I was able to use this product freely at least 3-4 times a week. I don't want to forget to add that I also used a collagen vitamin to aide in my hair growth as well that I take everyday. Overall, your hair will grow as long as you have consistent use and a good regimen.

Not sure how I feel about it yet...only 1 wash in...it smells smoky. I used it as a rinse along with consitioner, and it smoothed out my hair. My conditioner really helped mask the smoky smell. I think my next use will be to make it into a paste with a clay mask and conditioner.

My hair instantly loved it. My hair shrinks ALOT and get very dry. It’s been so hard for me to come up with a routine right after washing my hair that didn’t leave my hair very dry. Be sure to leave hair wet and mix with your favorite oil or grease, it softens and shows the thickness of hair. It elongates the hair and makes it easy to manage for a protective twist or braid. It don’t care how messy it gets. I’ll have to get comfortable with cleanup after myself right away. lol maybe this was the blessing my significant other needed.

It works on my scalp. This has made a big difference in calming my seborrhea as it has highly anti-inflammatory ingredients (I googled it.). I combine it with some ayurvedic herbs and other ingredients that are not flare up triggers for my super-sensitive (can’t take nut oils, most preservatives, etc.), flare-up prone scalp. I believe that many avoid using it on the scalp because it can look like you have dandruff if you’re not using a filtered concoction. Anyway, between, the chebe, the Ayurvedic herbs and saw palmetto, the thinning hair that was a result of constant seborrheic flare ups is coming back in at a marked rate. I also use some choice essential oils to add a nice, subtle scent. I’m very happy with the results.

I’ve made some chebe oil from this. Used it for deep conditioning. I’ve applied it as leave in too. It’s working for shedding. I’ve applied it to my scalp too just to see if it will itch. So far no itching. I will continue to use.

So I fell into the hype... and yes.. I am beyond pleased.. my hair stopped breaking within in 2 weeks of use... much less sheading when I wash and detangle (I have 4c hair, thick ) my hair is so moisture I am shocked because winter usually dries out my hair severely which causes breakage... I am a month in.. I will up date in another month I mixed this with my leave in conditioner and I also mixed with emu oil (also purchased on amazon) Its small but I am happy with thr results.. I will reorder The smell is a little off putting but its ok.. the hubby said it smells burnt
