I MC-RB1 Hunting Knife Set, 14-Inch

This Rambo First Blood knife is from the first Rambo movie and I believe it is the best looking one. I like the green handle and polished stainless steel blade. Some say that this knife is just for hanging on a wall, because it does not have a full tang. I don't agree with this observation, and I personally approve it for camping, backpacking and hunting. As long as you don't give this knife servere use, it will last for many years. Also you can't beat the price of this kool knife. I had to return the first knife because of a defect, but Amazon quickly sent me a replacement in a few days. Amazon, you are the best...Thanks Bob K.

very nice knife, best of the series. storage compartment in the handle with a basic survival kit in it. I wouldn't rely on the compass though

I got this knife as gift. Currently it is in a shadowbox near my First Blood poster, and that's where it will most likely stay. This knife is more a "collectible" than a knife. It looks nice and is well made, but as other reviewers have stated it probably wouldn't take too much use and abuse. It is listed as 440 stainless steel which means it is probably 440A steel which is good against rust but won't hold an edge for very long. A detailed eye will also notice that the clip point grind on the blade is not screen accurate. The original Lile knives had a straight angle to the grind, while this knife's grind is more gradual like the "Mission" knife from Rambo-FB part II. The blade guard has the phillips and standard screw driver but they don't look like they could actually be used. The handle has a nice feel, and the butt unscrews smoothly to reveal the compass and survival handle kit. The Compass isn't very accurate and gets stuck often. The sheath is nice quality but not like the one used in the movie. So why did I give this 4 stars..... because while I don't think it is a great knife for actual use it is a nice collectible for a reasonable price. If you want a knife like this for camping or hunting that will take abuse look for something made from 440C steel, 5160 steel or something of the like, but expect to spend more. If you are looking for a nice Rambo collectible don't hesitate.

When I received this knife, it did not have a survival kit. I returned it and order 2nd one. Now the second one had a broken compass. I requested for replacement, and got 3rd knife. Third one was also missing survival kit. This is ridiculous. Amazon was great with returns and refunds, no question about that.

The blade is NOT Stateless Steel because it's Magnetic! I'm not impressed, If I wanted a knife to hang on the wall I could have spent $10.00

Did not come with survival kit in handle. Very upset but they are easy to make. It didnt say there was no survival kit in discription.

great knife, very sharp.

Everything arrived on time and nothing was missing or broken like other people said happened to them. The compass did work, but not as good as I would expect from a knife that cost almost $72.99, but all and all I am happy with my purchase. The handle would be waterproof if it were sealed from the blade end. The one I received came sharp, but the knife probably would not hold up as an actual survival knife as others have said. Nice as a display though!
