will this work with an 800w towel rail?

Not suitable for current carrying capacity load requirements over 6A. The power electronics can control higher currents, when the control circuit has transformers either side of the module, to step down and up. Unfortunately this module is only designed for small/low currents to 6A.

As the switch works from powered Bluetooth connection, the range to the switch is over 30-40 metres away. So if you add it through the QR code that comes with the device to your phone and add it to smart devices properly, it should work.

I have a ventilation unit with L N E and switch L I would like to use the for the switched live but I would have to common the Ns on in and out ?

The neutrals in and out are joined which is fine I bought 2 of these and one controls the ceiling fan in the bedroom, the other works outdoor lighting great little gadgets. Worth paying a bit extra for the 2 way.

Yes this is possible. Just follow the instructions to pair the one switch with multiple receivers. I use these switches/receivers for my work - ive done this many times where conventional wiring is not possible or desired.
