This at 5 lumens was the dimmest I could find and I a very happy with it. I tried other bulbs at 20 and 30 lumens and they lit up the whole bathroom just like you have a normal light on. This is great as it matches the light of a dim incandescent bulb without the heat. Glad to use it to replace the bulb in a custom night light.

I used this bulb to replace Philips 7.5-Watt White Night Light Incandescent bulbs I had from Home Depot. I used an adapted to have them fit a regular socket. I am using this for dim lighting along my stairway, so I did not want anything bright. I am not sure how accurate any of the lumen measurements / ratings are on any of these bulbs. For what it is worth, they are barely as bright as the 7.5 watt bulbs that they replaced. Philips rated their bulbs at 35 lumen, and these are rated at 80. I was worried that these would be too bright for what I wanted. For me, this worked out perfect as they are as dim as I had hoped. Just be conscious of the fact that the lumen ratings may not be a valid measure. From what I can tell so far, these bulbs are white (not blue or green as you see in some other bulb reviews).One other small thing I notice... Since the bottom half of the unit is not the glass bulb as you would find in an incandescent, the projection of light is more to the side and up from the bulb, and some downwards to the base. Again, not a huge issue for me, but did notice the slight difference in light projection.

This is perfect for my overhead bath fan's night light feature. Inexplicably, my new bath fan came with only your standard nightlight bulb rather than led. I replaced two of those bulbs in a few months. Since its kind of a hassle, I was looking for a more permanent solution. This is it. These are kind of dim, not putting out tons of light, but for this application its enough to see what you need to with no harshness on sleepy eyes in the middle of the night.

I have a Tiffany style lamp that takes 12 of these small candelabra base lightbulbs. Up until now I had been putting incandesce and bulbs into it the problem with that was that would burn out and I would have to buy a whole new set about every year and a half.Hopefully this will last longer than that and use less power to boot. While they are little more expensive I think that it'll pay off in not having to change them out.One thing I did notice is a side-by-side comparison these seem slightly dimmer than the income doesn't counterparts. But once they were installed there's no noticeable difference in the quality of light.I would definitely recommend this product for any light that has difficult access. Such as high sconces or chandeliers. The longevity of LED lightbulbs makes them pay off rather quickly in not having to struggle getting access to change out a lightbulb. The Energy efficiency is icing on the cake.

Purchased these to replace old bulbs that are on our staircase and difficult to replace. These are great! They give off plenty of light. Was worried that they may not fit in the small metal box that houses the lights but they are no bigger than the old night light style lights but much sturdier and longer life. Old light bulbs burned out multiple times a year. Hoping that we won’t have to replace these LED lights for years! We are replacing all bulbs in the house with LED for efficiency, long life, lower cost and they don’t get hot like incandescent bulbs. Very happy with these little bulbs.

I wanted a low lumen LED bulb to use as a night light in our bathroom ceiling fan fixture. It's wired with a motion detector and the fixture directly aligns with our bed. I wanted an LED with just enough light to see where I'm going, but not so bright as to wake someone up in bed. It's difficult to find a low lumen LED. Most put out more light than I wanted. So, if you're expecting a bright bulb, this is not what you're looking for. This is a low-light LED bulb and I recommend it.
