Rubie's Costume Co Humor S Mid Length Afro Black Wig

I bought this to use for Halloween when I dressed up as Moss from the IT Crowd. The hair of this wig is BIG so it was perfect for my version of Moss. When attempting to part the wig to form Moss' signature wedge shape gap, there was quite a bit of 'give' and it molded pretty easily. After a while it would slowly move back to full afro form but I didn't mind and didn't expect it to stay simply by applying pressure. Overall this was a great CHEAP purchase that 100% made my costume. After Halloween, it's back in it's small and easy to store bag until next year.

Does it shed? Yes, but its an inexpensive wig, and its not bad so long as you don't snatch it around like its a rag doll. For mid length, I thought this was a bit larger than I expected, but it fits well and can be picked out to the texture style you want. I actually wound up cutting mine down on the sides for a more tapered type of look, but it was the only way I could have customized it for my needs. As far as I'm concerned, its what I thought it would be and what I asked for. Can't get better than that!

The wig was a curly afro, instead of a natural afro. I was disappointed with this. But once I fluffed it out and put on my dishiki dress and hoo earrings, it all came together! I also received several compliments! The wig fit great. I have a smaller afro, so I had my stylist braid down my hair. I put my wig cap on and I was ready. I purchased it for a throwback birthday bash and am glad I did. It is back in the original package awaiting the next party! Great value for the price!

The wig was ok. Although it was costume it looked pretty good for general wig use. I gave this a 3 because the wig did not anyway to like secure it on your head.

Works for one night, then it falls apart. Looks like pubes on your head.

All I can say is what in the world is this?!?!?!I have NEVER purchased a wig that came out of a packet looking like wet poodle hair puff or a jheri curl gone bad!!! It was matted and disgusting.It did not appear to be salvageable and I did not want to do additional harm. I am highly disappointed. I am returning it immediately!! The search continues...

First of all, I had a true "Marcia Marcia Marcia" moment with this product photo! Aside from that, this is a FANTASTIC wig, esp for the price. I was literally sitting and talking to a woman 10 inches from me, and she thought it was my real hair. Now seriously, I am WHITE girl with freckles! Others remarked it was itchy, but I didn't not have that experience at all. A few of the ringlets came off, but it has stood up to a few uses. (Keep it wrapped in its hair net when not in use). This is a small, ringlet style 'fro... it's not spongy. Wonderful product!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and overall look of this Afro wig, considering the low, low price and mixed reviews. I wore it for a 70's themed costume and it was perfect. It just took a little combing out, fluffing, and maybe a spritz of water to get the right shape. Easy to manage. So much fun to wear and I definitely recommend as a costume accessory. I have a small to medium size head and it fit me and my long, thick hair just fine. It stayed put all night long through all the boogie'n on down. Have fun and get down wichya bad self!

When I wear this I feel like Ogie Ogalthorpe and look like Jeff Lynde.

My friend loves her afro. This is the final touch for our disco party
