Best ones out there
Even BPA free plastic bottles have other chemicals that leech into your baby's milk. Glass is the only way to insure nothing is getting in there. These 3 packs are great. The silicone sleeve can even be used in a bottle bag by placing it on the middle bottle to keep them from banging each other. I have even dropped a bottle with it on and it adds just enough padding to protect the glass. I have also used these bottles in a bottle warmer (even though they say not to). The only time I had one break was when I refilled a heated bottle with cold cow's milk and then tried to put it in the bottle warmer without normalizing the temp. The bottle did not shatter, it sliced in half right where the temperature differential was. So, yeah, it can break - it is glass. But even when it broke, it was a clean one and this indicates very high quality glass is used on these. Finally, let me just say that the nipple design is brilliant. No long tubes to clean like some other vented brands. The vent system to prevent bubbles getting into the baby's tummy is brilliant on these and very easy to clean (I throw all the pieces in a bottle caddy in the dishwasher and its done). The wider nipples also simulate breast feeding much better than narrow ones. This seems counter intuitive if you are a new parent but if you look at a breast, it does not look like the narrow bottles on the market, it looks like the wide ones. This is important because it shapes the baby's mouth properly when drinking. I would also mention that it seems to make switching back and forth easier because there is less of a difference.

Fantastic Bottles - makes a great sippy too!
These bottles are great! Durable, easy to clean and vented. We love the glass option, no plastic or BPA to deal with, and much nicer for baby, and they hold up very nicely to washing. No fading of the printing, or old scratchy look like you get with plastic bottles. The other reviewer should have looked more carefully at the picture. It clearly shows one silicone sleeve in the picture (and says bonus sleeve, not sleeves....) I do agree, they should include three sleeves with the bottle set or at least sell the sleeves separately so you could have one for each bottle (who wants to remove it with washing!). But considering these bottles used to come without any silicone sleeves at all for the same price, it's still an improvement. As far as I have found, no one sells the sleeves separately, unfortunately. That aside, the bottles are great. For the record, the Dr Brown's wide mouth travel caps fit these bottles with the vent removed, if you want a screw on cap option for storing in the diaper bag (which I do). That leaks less than the little plastic insert and makes it nice for fridge or diaper bag storage. You can also easily convert these into a wonderful sippy cup by adding the green to grow sippy trainer spouts ([...]). It's hard to find non-plastic sippys, and have tried them all, all the different spouts, cups etc. This combo was one of the only ones that didn't leak and actually worked! Update: The green to grow sippy tops seem to be hard to find these days. The think baby ones also work with these bottles.

Great ventilation system... Glass bottles just ok
Born bottles are the best on the market. However here are some pros and cons of the glass bottles as compared to plastic. Pros -Cleans so much easier than plastic -Does not retain a stale smell once cleaned -Heats up milk in less time because glass conducts heat faster than plastic. -Cools down faster than plastic. -Promotes a safer feeding option bc let's face it, no matter how safe they therefore should be safe with any bottle warmer. y plastic is you never know what they will say 10 years from now. Cons -Glass is heavier than plastic and if you're used to plastic you will definitely feel the difference -venting system sometimes feels smaller and therefore does not fit as snug when attached to the glass top. -prone to getting fissures.! This is a big issue. Let me explain. I've had 6 glass bottles so far. 4 of them have had long cracks... Lines or fissures that run from the top of the glass to the bottom. This is a huge let down. I have contacted the company each time it happened and they questioned my heating method. However, no matter how you heat this bottle, with the exception of an open flame, it should withstand a boil of 3 to 5 minutes in water. The company only recommends using their born heating system... But this makes very little sense to me since I know of no bottle warmer that Heats past a boil point. From my experience with these bottles I have to say the cracks are most likely due to the quality of the glass it is made of and not from the heating method. I will say that summer infant, the company that makes these bottles has replaced every bottle that cracked free of charge. This is good. However, you need to really ask yourself if cracked bottles and calling them is worth the benefits of using the glass bottles rather than the plastic. It's a matter of personal preference and patience.

Great bottles, no air bubbles, do not leak
We used these for our first child and had to add a few for our second round (2 babies, need more bottles). We used them for 15 months with our first and no leaks. We plan to reuse all of the original bottles with some new nipples and filters. The air bubbles are protected by the filter (you can see them flow back in and not into the nipple). The parts are easy to clean (we used a dishwasher basket exclusively) and easy to reassemble (2 part filter, nipple, and ring). I can't say enough about how easy glass is to clean compared to plastic. It also frees up your top dishwasher rack for other things because they are bottom rack safe. Some people complain about how heavy they are. We never knew the difference because we always used them and never thought them to be too heavy. The glass is sturdy because ours took a few drops on hardwood without a crack at all (not something I would recommend, but it happens). On the other hand, I would not let a toddler walk around with a glass bottle. But should a kid who can walk around really be using a bottle?!

I like it's a glass bottle but the nipples are way too long
My baby is not picky about bottles. She would drink any bottles, but not this one. I loved they are good glass bottles, and they seem good quality; however, the nipples are too long, I felt it sticks to the throat of my baby, and she didn't like it at all. I had to return it and went back to the Avent and Dr Brown bottles.

Good for Colicky Babies
We went through a few types when our daughter was born trying to find a bottle that would allow her to drink without swallowing copious amount of air. In the end, it was between these and Dr Browns, but for us, these were the hands down winner. Once we got her on the Born Free, she was able to feed and settle within just a few minutes and spit-ups became a very rare occurrence rather than a several times a week crap shoot. Good quality, no leaks, and the glass is especially durable and has the added benefit of not having to worry about what is in the plastic bottles that may seep into the milk, generally (if it is a concern, I am not sure it really matters, but it is one less issue to worry about). Our baby also seems to really prefer the wider nipple shape. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they are a little bit of a nuisance to clean and assemble when a baby is getting impatient. They do, however, do fine in the dishwasher in a caddy (I actually use our dr browns caddy to hold the flat, disc shaped parts and it works great). Also, much much easier to clean and assemble than Dr Browns.

Best glass bottles on the market!
Highly impressed! These, in my opinion are the best, most affordable, glass bottles on the market. I have used Born Free for both of my children and their system really helps for babies with colic, gas or reflux (which my babies suffered). They clean extremely well. The glass is good, I have even dropped one on the tile and it did not break. I noticed some reviews about leaking. The only time they have leaked is if the plastic/ silicone "gas system" was not pressed into the bottle all the way or if I screwed the plastic cap on too tight. I wasn't happy that there only comes with one silicone cover, as extra's are hard to come by. NOTE: Problem solved! No need to search for silicone covers! $1 store slip-on koozies work perfectly!

would NOT purchase again
I really wanted to get my daughter a glass bottle , she has been using tommiee tipee up until now(6months). I was very excited to try this bottle but sadly i had to pour out the milk to her old bottle in the middle of feeding because she keeps on getting chocked from how FAST the milk was flowing. Later I tried the bottle myself, and i realize why. The level two nipple is just way to fast. As soon as I tipped it over the milk does not drip, it simply squirts out of the bottle. Update: Now she is almost 12 months old. This bottle has been just sitting on my counter. I have to constantly check if the bottle is leaking or not has been such a headache i just dont use this anymore. If you really want a glass bottle Avante glass bottle is much much easier.
