The antenna works great, just like it's supposed to. It picks up all the stations it should.

I have previously, several years ago, purchased several of these antennas that are still working well without any mechanical problems. The 115 cm (1.15 meters = 45¼" inches) is longer than most radio original antennas. In most cases, for portable radios the longer the antenna the stronger the signal. The stronger the signal the better the reception. Collapsable antennas can also be adjusted in length to resonate on the frequency that you want to listen to. This also improves the signal. This antenna can be disconnected from the F connector and attached to a radio directly by means of removing the screw at its base. I do this with every portable radio I purchase. This antenna works very well on multi-band radios.

To be honest, I didn't think it would make a difference in the reception. To my surprise it actually brought in a couple of stations, the other standard FM antenna did not.

Using this on a Sangean WR-2 AM/FM table radio. I had a 20 inch telescopic antenna on it that would not pick up many stations. I live in what would be called a fringe area. Several stations came in sporadically and most would not allow the RBDS feature in the radio to work reliably. This antenna is 45 inches long and solved those problems. I am very pleased with it and would heartily recommend it.

The components feel and appear to be good quality. HOWEVER, My Yamaha A1020 Tuner can not tell that it exists. My old wire antenna delivered better results.
