The characters, suspense, and even the curveball at the end. It's absolutely perfect. It's definitely a must-read for anyone who enjoys dystopian type stories. If you have ever watched and liked the show The 100, this book is for you. You won't be disappointed. Review: One of my favorite books! - Enders is a worthy sequel to the masterfully written Starters. Lissa Price does a wonderful job in weaving a complex plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat and doesn't beat around the bush. Both Starters and Enders are action packed and make you want to read the entire book in one sitting. Enders is filled with plot twists and climactic scenes that make you wish the series was more than just a duology.

Good book
The American cover is a disappointment and doesn’t match the cover from Starters. The book is good and I may even read it again.

If you liked 'Starters', you'll love 'Enders'!
When I read Starters, I never wanted to put the book down. I found myself doing the same thing with this book, as well. I read it in just a matter of days. Normally, sequels don't top the first book in my eyes, but 'Enders' managed to do just that! An amazing book filled with unexpected plot twists that you never saw coming. I can guarantee that if you loved 'Starters', you'll love 'Enders' just as much, and maybe even more!

just ok
I really enjoyed the premise of this series and waited anxiously for the second book. I was disappointed by how easily and conveniently it all came together. I know this is YA, but this book ended up being pretty juvenile in style, writing and content. I guess that is a risk you take as an adult reading YA.

Loved it
I really enjoyed this book. It was one of Amazon's suggested novels according to my purchase history so I purchased it. Such an interesting idea for a book. I thought it was well written and exciting. Although the whole teenage-love-triangle-during-a-post-apocolyptic-happening has been extremely over done, I still enjoyed it enough to buy the sequel. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the teenage apocalyptic genre of books.

love it
Got the 1st book at a discount book store on vacation in Virginia and didn't realize there was a 2nd. This was the 2nd book so I ordered it and it was great!

Fast-paced Sequel
While I would have preferred to see Michael fleshed out as more than a character to be rescued, Tyler playing a fuller role, and wanted to see Louise back again, this was a satisfying conclusion to the series. I would have enjoyed knowing more about the spore wars, why they happened, and the impact on the rest of the world. The ages of some of the grandparents seem very old at times, as if they should have been great grandparents. However, judging the timeline of the book to be set in a near-dystopian future with advanced technology, perhaps fertility is extended as well as a long, healthy life. With that said: The overall storytelling and the plotting is riveting. I recommend reading the short stories that accompany the books for an deeper, inside look at the world (Portrait of a Starter, Portrait of a Marshall [loved that one!], and Portrait of a Donor). I am looking forward to Lissa Price's next books and especially to the movie. Do not miss reading this author!

”Helena’s sadness, a moment preserved from the past, was frozen now in my memory banks. I was not only reliving the memory, I was also feeling it as if it were my own.” Was war also mein Problem? Also alles in allem drei gute Sterne.

So, Callie now has a guardian and is no longer an unclaimed minor. Plus she has a nice house. Things should be good. But the Old Man still keeps talking in her head. And also someone else who may or may not be her dead father. And she's still not free of her brain chip, which means theoretically anyone could control her body again. Also the first book left off with easily the most inventive romantic tangle I've ever read. So things clearly aren't over. The Old Man has found a way to use brain chips as bombs, making Callie and the others with brain chips extremely dangerous weapons. And then Callie meets Hyden, who is the Old Man's son and has a plan to stop his dad wreaking anymore destruction. But Hyden might not be all he seems.... Ok, this book may actually be one of the best I've ever read. It is completely compelling, has some amazing plot twists and pretty cool world details. Characters are likable and interesting and the story is incredibly fast paced and never gets boring. Also, whilst most recently published sci-fis seem to have moved away from the idea that the dystopian world should represent anything or have any kind of message, I feel like this one has some fairly interesting reflections about the relationship between the young and old generations in a society and the conflict of interests this causes. The love-interest plot here is also pretty clever. Oh, and I was a bit sad Rhiannon wasn't in this at all because I really liked her in the first book. But she wouldn't have had much to contribute here, so ah well. As for the ending...well, this appears to be the last book in the series, and whilst I kind of respect the decision to avoid making it a trilogy like EVERY OTHER SCI FI there is some room for a sequel here and the ending did leave a lot unresolved. It wasn't a BAD ending though(and I've noticed sci-fis seem to have problems with ending the last book, so that in itself is quite impressive) just a not entirely resolved one. Still, if there WAS another book I would definitely be happy.
