This product works GREAT!
This stuff works great to rid your yard of those granite slabs. Built a stone wall with all the pieces I removed from my yard. I refer to it as silent explosives. Drill your holes, mix as recommended, fill holes, next morning remove your chunks of stone. My neighbors were in awe.

Works with 3/4 bit 2' long bit
I wanted to crack this large rock to make a bench. Drilled 12 holes, 2 feet deep, with a 3/4 bit. Very horizontal. I can normally fill 20 or so holes with one bag. I wanted to be there when it cracked so I drilled 10 more holes in between the holes and put in 10 wedges. And after less than 12 hours got a nice beautiful flat crack. Since then, it's continued to lift the rock.

Not great for under ground granite
I used this to break up red granite rock with mixed results. Because the rock was fully in the ground, it did not work as I had hoped for. Best results were with parallel holes drilled at 45 to 60 degrees toward each other making a vee. This allows the pressure to push a trough in the rock, which is what I wanted. In the end, I used a jack hammer for most of the work. It was worth the try.

would purchase again
Awesome product, had a rock the size of a small junky car (fiat) that was in the way of a planned addition, knowing an excavator with a hammer would be at least $5k to mob in chip for a day then mob out i searched the memory banks and remembered a Maine home show had a similar situation to deal with and used a product that expanded, online and Amazon search brought me to Dexpan, most of the videos cover thin concrete slabs and rocks, my rock was about 4’ thick and 10’ long and irregular shaped, i drilled enough holes for one bag 1-1/2” by 14” at 12” centers, mixed up the bag and dumped it in, it took around 18 hours to fracture, peel the rock off with a digging bar and drill in the next round, i went through 2 buckets so 88 pounds, each hole took about 20 minutes to drill so the project took several weekends but the rock pieces were small enough for a mini 50 to move around so when my digger showed up to excavate the footings he could perform his work, so $300 versus $5,000+, would and likely will purchase again

Breaking out concrete.
Worked as stated. Beat jack hammering 14” of concrete out. Cracked it up as advertised. Had to start real early in the morning as our temps were running 118 to 113F.

This product worked great for breaking apart a huge Canadian shield rock (a combination of granite and other rock materials) in our basement sized about 4 ft x 24 ft. We initially followed the instructions on the USA website, but it didn't work as fast/well as we'd hoped, so we checked out the CDN site and found out we were mixing it incorrectly. As soon as we started mixing it correctly, before pouring it into the drilled holes, we were seeing initial results before 24 hrs and after 48 hours, the rock was cracked & breaking apart easily. It took my husband a full month & a half after work & weekends to break it almost completely apart. Last pic was from 2 weeks ago, we are farther now. We have just a bit left at the narrow 2 ft part & a bit around the edges. We are happy to almost reclaim a huge amount of square footage in our basement that we will use as a rec room in the near future. Great product, highly recommend.

Works really good. Got a bit aggressive with the hole spacing but still cracked the rock all to pieces. Using it on hard granite bedrock in Nova Scotia. It takes time to work properly. Drilled and filled the holes on Thursday and checked Monday, some cracking but not a lot went back the next Sunday, 10 days later and a lot of cracking with many large pieces separated from the main rock.

I’m super happy with the Dexpan product! It worked like a charm. I had this massive granite rock in my basement, and this product handled it perfectly. A big shoutout to Sean from Dexpan for the incredible advice. I reached out to the team with some questions, and he hooked me up with an awesome PDF full of info. Their support was a game changer for my project. I definitely recommend them for anyone who has concrete or rock to break. If I could give more than five stars, I totally would!

Had a big granite boulder to break in the basement. Dynamite was not an option indoors. After some research, found out about Dexpan. I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. Did not had the needed equipment to drill 1 1/2 inch holes as recommended. Made 7/8 holes instead but made them closer (about 8 inch). Took about 2 days to have the first crack. After 4-5 days, the boulder was cracked all over. Dexpan made a very complicated and expensive job much easier and, most of all, much cheaper to accomplish compared to breaking the thing with rental jackhammers and such. Recommended!

Should have bought this years ago. Much faster/easier than a jackhammer.
