Best bang for your buck
SCHPIRERR-FARBEN colored pencils are an excellent value for the price point. One of the best sets I’ve tried. They aren’t quite as soft as prismacolors , but they are super pigmented, they have a nice smooth lay down and they blend very well. They sharpen nicely with electric and manual sharpeners. I’ve not had constant breakage or any problems so far. The tin they are packaged in is quite nice and the spacer trays aren’t super flimsy either. I have really enjoyed using them. The only complaint I have is that I would like a few more green shades but this set is really good especially for the cost. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you buy these especially if you are serious about your coloring or art hobby. So far I have tried every set that is offered by Black Widow brand pencils, I have the prismacolor 150 set, I also have the kalour 240 set, artist loft, faber castell open stock . I have not tried Pablo’s or polychromos so I don’t have that point of reference. However, for the ones that I have tried, this set is VERY IMPRESSIVE.

Great pencils for an amazing price!
Great pencils for a bargain! These pencils lay down smooth and are very easy to blend and mix colors. I love how rich, vibrant, and pigmented they are. I wouldn’t say they are quite up there with Faber-Castell Polychromos, but for the quantity, quality, and price, they are great for adult coloring books. I actually love them and set my prismacolors aside. I love the fact these are oil based pencils so you don’t get that infamous wax bloom if you heavily layer colors. They are a hard pencil compared to Prismacolors and Derwent Colorsoft pencils which I prefer a harder lead. If I could describe these pencils they’re a mix of Prismacolor and Polychromos. They are very easy to sharpen and sharpen way better than Prismacolor pencils. I sharpened them with my Faber-Castell Colour Grip sharpener and had absolutely no lead breakage. The pencil trays are sturdy and not flimsy. The tin is also very nice no complaints. Very easy to keep them safe and organized. I own Polychromos, Derwent, Prismacolor, Staedtler, and Caran D’Ache pencils and can say these are pretty solid, smooth, and good quality pencils with great pigment. Word of advice: I know they come pre-sharpened already, but they tend to be scratchy. I highly recommend you sharpen them first before using them. Other than that I’ve had no issues except trying to put them down and color for hours! Overall, I am very happy with these pencils and the company too is very friendly. I would highly recommend them! I’m not a professional artist or colorist, but I take my coloring hobby seriously. :)

Very nice.
Very nice pencils. For me, at the end of the day I color for enjoyment, meaning I stopped looking at colored pencil reviews (no shortage of blogs online) and figured I should just rate the pencils I buy on how they perform themselves - without worrying about lightfastness, oily versus wax based pencils, and always comparing any pencils I purchase to Prismacolors. For me the criteria as a casual colorer, is how do the pencils feel, how do they color, and do I enjoy what I have colored after using the pencils. For these pencils, I enjoy them. The pencils are very nice - package presentation is lovely. I think the pencils are a touch overpriced for the price point, but I would still buy them again. The colors are vibrant and the pencils feel creamy when coloring, no scratchiness or hardness. I use plain copy paper for my colored pictures, since I like to make copies of pages from my adult coloring books (since I may start coloring a picture a few times before I like the result), and the pencils laid down the color very nicely on plain paper. The pencils sharpen well and hold a point (I use a Prismacolor sharpener for these), and were not prone to breakage. Overall I am very well pleased with them. The only downside was the tin the pencils arrived in was a dented in transit, but I blame neither the shipper or the seller. The dent is not a huge deal for me because the pencils themselves were undamaged. I like that the pencils are numbered, so when I am coloring it is easy for me to pick from my swatch chart, and easy to keep the pencils in numerical order (I like organization!). I would recommend the pencils and plan on purchasing them again.

Smooth, vibrant, and pleasant to use
This is quite a nice set of color pencils, with a fantastic selection of hues and smooth color laydown. The firmness of the lead isn’t as soft as Prismacolor, which means they aren’t as prone to breakage in the barrel. They also aren’t wax-based so won’t be prone to blooming. Even still, the pencils are softer than some of the firmer Derwent lines or the Tombow Irojiten pencils, and blend together quite smoothly. My one major complaint, which lead me to dock a star, is the design of the pencils themselves. The paint denoting the shade isn’t particularly accurate to the color of the lead, and given how hard it is to read the text on some of them, it can make it a pain. If you’re willing to overlook these issues, the pencils are still rather good for both experienced artists and hobbyists alike.

Excellent Value
I don’t normally write reviews but lately I’ve been on a search for good oil based colored pencils. My favorite are Polychromos but I wanted to add some variety. These are a nice addition with firm cores but smooth lay down and high pigmentation.
