Vibro-damping for my 2018 Nissan Rogue
I bought the StP Silver vibro-damping for my 2018 Nissan Rogue. I wanted to reduce street noise/vibration that was coming in through the doors and improve the sound quality of my stereo inside the car. I think this product worked really well and was easy to install even for someone with limited car repair experience (like me). It was also the best price per square foot that I could find. Pros ● It is easily glued and it holds well to metal on the inside of my door. ● There is marking on the sheets that makes it easy to measure and cut the desired size. I even had extra material if I wanted to do something else, like my roof or hood. As an added bonus, it didn’t have much of a smell as some products do. ● The doors close more quietly (from the reduced vibration) ● I now have a much quieter ride - there is much less external noise coming inside the car. Cons: ● The car will gain a little weight. This was not noticeable to me, but some people may care about that. I know the StP Aero version of this product is a bit lighter, but that didn’t matter for what I wanted. Again, you might care more about additional weight than I did. ● It would have helped to have another person with me when I installed. As a beginner, it took me a long time to figure out how to take the door apart. This isn’t really the product’s fault, but it’s something to think about. I’m excited that this material finally appeared in the US. As far as I know, this is the only brand that supplies its products to car makers and is used in car audio competitions throughout Europe. I deal with soundproofing as part of my regular job, so I knew about StP but I had never seen it used here before. When I called the company to ask about another project I want to do (car floor), they recommended that for maximum effect I should use all three layers of their material (I think the others are Accent and Noise Block), so I think I will take their advice when I begin that task. For installation, I needed a set of screwdrivers, a blade (I just used an Xacto), a degreaser (important to clean the surface), scissors, and a roller to get all the air bubbles out.

This stuff is HEAVY!
I'll update when it is installed. Unfortunately, this was ordered for my latest military HMMWV project and the truck arrived with a bad transmission. So, we have to deal with that before we can get the baseline "before" sound levels, then install this product to see how much it helps. What I can tell you from handling these sheets is that they are very heavy. At only 49 square feet of coverage, I was expecting about half this weight. I expect this will translate into 2-3x the sound and vibration damping as the other, much lighter sheet products that we are evaluating on this build. We coated the entire interior body tub with LizardSkin heat and sound products on a prior HMMWV build. While the LS has been amazing, even that spray on product isn't this dense. I have very high hopes for this product.

Good stuff!
First of all this is a TON of product for this price. I purchased this product after finding data that it reduces noise decibels for the best bang for the buck compared to the best performer (but most expensive). I was pensive about concerns that the product did not stick well However I found that when applying it this concern was not a valid problem. If anything, it's very easy to manipulate and once you've "staged" the product where you want it, then rolled or pressed it on, it sticks firmly! I'm glad that I chose this product among the huge variety available. Oh, did I say there's a ton of it? Seriously, made it through both front and rear doors (skins, inner, and cards) as well as rear hatch on a full size SUV.

It works, good product.
I recommend it. Earlier I got the other product, the manufacturer promised super effect, but I did not get any result at all. Now in my new car I decided to get Standartplast Silver and it really works and I noticed that. No noise, no vibrations. And, what is also very important, price is good. I like it!

works just ok VERY overpriced
Not any better then Road kill or fatmat in fact doesn't stick as well as either of those products. Webpage makes a big deal out of how it's thicker and deadens better then other products but Sound level checks don't show that that claim to be true Also some panels of it just didn't "stay stuck", same clean surface so clearly quality control is lacking perhaps absent. Impossible to return as 50-60% of the product did stick so this company gets away with my money... Don't make the same mistake I did thinking this is worth buying, It's NOT!

Excellent value, noise cancellation very noticable. Easy installation.
So glad, I bought it. Installed it on my own. Works great and I hear clear difference after installation. It’s great, compared to the price and quality.

Works, but additional tools recommended!
First of all, these come in small, standardized panels, so you need to cut the sheets to fit before adhering them to a given surface. Ordinary scissors don't really work, so you need an industrial cutting tool. Furthermore, for proper installation, you need a special pressurized roller to properly affix and it can flex, bend, or warp flimsier metals like trunk or hood sheet metal. That said, once applied, there's a noticeable difference in sound, road vibration, and feel of my car at higher speeds on the highway. Definitely recommend...if only it came with the requisite tools!
