This Variety Pack Saved My Stainless Steel Sink from a Scratch — Great Product
I bought the Dura-Gold Premium 6″ × 9″ 10-Scuff-Pad Variety Pack (2 each of maroon, gray, gold, purple and white) because I was dealing with a scratch in a stainless steel sink basin and needed some higher-grit pads to fix it. I’m glad I grabbed this set. The higher-grit pads felt serious — especially the gold and purple ones — and they helped me carefully work on the scratch without over-buffing or damaging the surrounding surface. The variety in the pack is a big plus because I could start with a more aggressive pad and then move to finer ones to blend the finish. The fit on my polisher was perfect, and what I appreciated most was how the sink started looking nearly new again after the process. Something to keep in mind: because I was working with stainless steel, I went slow and used light pressure. It means these aren’t “instant magic”—proper technique still matters. Also, you’ll want to match the pad color to the right stage (start aggressive, then refine) or you might end up with uneven finish. But for what it’s worth, this pack gave me everything I needed. If you have stainless steel, working on restoring or refinishing surfaces, or need good versatility in pad grit and types, this Dura-Gold pack is worth it. My sink looks better, and I feel like I saved a lot of time and effort using this set.

Excellent quality non-woven pad at a very reasonable price.
Comparable quality and performance to a leading brand but costing considerably less.

Each scuff pad is precut in the middle and not stated as such.
These scuff pads are a very good quality and a nice large size BUT buyer beware, each pad is precut down the middle to make, sort of. the cutting of them should have been in the description.

Durable
If you do restorations you go through scuff pads. These last just as long as the “M” brand but cost less. I thought I would take a chance on these and I’m glad I did. I can’t say I have gotten a bad Dura Gold product yet

Good quality
I mostly use this for engine parts carbon remover, cleaning of gasket areas and other mechanical. I used to build race bikes and we used this type material to brush finish titanium frames so I’ve been around different brands a fair bit over several decades. This brand is as rugged as other brands. All of them fall apart fairly quick. The 2 most coarse of these in this kit are very coarse; too coarse for internal engine use unless getting carbon out of ports or something that is a very rough surface as such. The white sheets are the finest. They give an EXTREMELY fine finish. On any metal it will only shine up. The next finest, gray, is what I use for final clean up on internal engine parts, gasket locations, etc… Bottom line, this kit will give you whatever you need in the way of real coarse to real fine. The white is so fine I would consider it to slick up an old pool cue. Worth the money all day long. Update: currently restoring a 1962 Chevy II Nova. Aluminum wheels are from approximately 1970s. Brushed aluminum that has seen better days. This assorted kit works beautifully in restoring wheels beyond brush finish all the way to mirror finish. I use all colors in order from roughest to finest. Gray is the last color I use dry. With the white sheets, I then use Blue Magic metal polish cream to achieve mirror finish. Mother’s works well too.
