UPPERCASE Premium Keyboard Protector for MacBook 12"(UPP-PKBC-MB12)

A couple months ago, I decided to clean the keyboard for my desktop, and it turned out to be a hassle to clean it simply because it was really dirty. When I bought my MacBook Pro, a few days later I decided that the money I invested on the computer meant that I really needed to take care of it as much as I could. With that in mind, I decided to get a protector for my keyboard. Just as other people, I was not disappointed with this protector. The cover is fantastic! Just as other people, It took me a while to get used to the feel of typing on the cover, but that is to be expected. Luckily, it took me less than an hour to adjust to typing on this keyboard protector. After adjusting to the keyboard cover and the feel, it felt natural typing on my MacBook. The only thing is that you could feel the shape of the protector when you really push hard when typing - but that is to be expected, and you get used to it anyways; I thought that was a detail worth mentioning. But please do not let that detract you from purchasing this cover. Honestly, any protector will give you that sensation anyways. Also, when typing, the protector does not slide around, which is a bonus. It is simply a perfect fit. Moreover, the fact that the protector is made from a transparent silicon material makes it great. Because it's transparent and once adjusted to the feel, you forget that you have a protector on your keyboard. The cover will be visible in the light, but that is to be expected. Either way, it does not look bad in the light. In the dark and even with the backlight from the keyboard, you cannot see the protector. Honestly, the price to quality ratio in my opinion, is definitely fair. In a good way, you don't get what you pay for because you get much more, if that makes any sense. In other words, this protector is so cheap and the quality is really good that it makes the price seem very low. Overall, the price, quality, look, feel, and construction of the protector is definitely worth it. If you have a MacBook or are planning to invest in one, and if you want to protect it and make it last to the last part of it, this keyboard protector is definitely worth considering. It definitely deserves to be on the top of anybody's list of "things to get" for any MacBook user or future owner.

This is the thinnest and by far the best protector i've ever used. Anyone that has had a Apple laptop with the black chiclet keyboard knows that eventually the keyboard gets that bad worn out polished appearance and tactile feel. Using this protector ensures that matte finish and appearance of the keyboard is preserved, I feel this is important if you plan on reselling your Apple laptop. The protector just rests on top of the keyboard and is an exact match fit contouring every single key. No need to worry that it will fall off the keyboard even though it is just resting there. As long as you do not hold your laptop upside down with the screen open its not going anywhere. But who realistically does that? Before I forget, the protector is clear so when the keys on your Macbook light up in the dark you can see them just as easily as without the protector. The only down side, is that the protector does slightly change the force you need to use when typing. It only took me an afternoon to adjust. I do not consider this a deal breaker, but some of you that type for a living might not like that at first. Just like any protector out there, it will change some of the feel and tactile nature of the keyboard. In addition to the above, you also get increased protection from small spills. Usually when spilling a drink on a laptop it somehow always seems to drain right through the keyboard casing the most damage (speaking from experience on this one) Also as this protector picks up hand grime and oils, you can put it in your dishwasher and bam, its clean and nice feeling as the day you get it. Just ensure you put it in the top rack since I would hate for it to melt on you :/ As always the price of this protector seems too good to be true, but Amazon can almost magically save you a significant amount of money.

A word to the wise if you have never used a keyboard cover before - yes it is a Great investment for your Macbook or Apple Keyboard. Yes it will help protect the keyboard from dust and other things that land on keyboards over time (I'll munch crackers while I type. This helps protect the keyboard from wayward crumbs) It will save you from those uh-oh moments when you spill some liquid near the keyboard (big sigh of relief!) Absolutely worth the investment. This is my second keyboard cover purchase. The first was a silicone keyboard cover for my Black Macbook and that took some getting used to because while the cover was fitted, it did feel like there was a gap, or a second set of keys I was pushing down on to type, both because of the thickness of the material and I was just new to the feeling of using a keyboard cover. Over time the silicone protector found its place and fit and it became second nature to use the silicone keyboard cover on the Macbook. I'll never go without one again on a Macbook I own. When I read the reviews for this Keyboard Cover, I like the fact that it was translucent and let the design of the keyboard through. I was also impressed with how thin it was when I took it out of the packaging. This really is cut to fit the keyboard of my Macbook Pro with Retina Display 13" precisely and it does not feel like there is any kind of gap whatsoever. Having used a keyboard cover before, I can sat there is a difference. **If you have never used a keyboard cover at all, it does take a little getting used to but I stress, this is worth the investment, and this cover by Uppercase is really a good buy. If you are looking for a keyboard cover for your Macbook Pro with Retina Display (comes in 13 or 15") I highly recommend their product. Seamless fit with the keyboard, comfortable typing experience, and great protection. I'll be buying from them again in the future.

I've wanted to get a covered for my keyboard for so long. This one fits my little laptop perfectly. I actually find that it makes typing easier as well. Really pleased. Price is reasonable.

Simple the best. Owned a KUZY one and it never fit. This one is perfect for my MacBook. Perfect thickness as well, keys still "click" and feel crisp, while fully protected. Don't even notice it is there.
