JACO Lightning S-Series Tire Air Chuck - 1/4" F-NPT (Open Flow) (2-Pack)

Works exactly as described...easily pushes onto valve and easy removal with 0.00-0.10 air loss. No fidgeting to maintain air input. Attaches to valve stem without having to hold it in place.

Used this to upgrade the inconvenient screw on style chuck that came on my Smittybilt offroad 12v compressor. Huge improvement! Had to also order a 1/4 npt barbed fitting for the hose, however that may not be necessary for everyone if you've already got a 1/4 fitting to attach to. This open flow chuck allows me to turn the compressor on and leave it running while I check air pressure with a guage since most 12v portable compressor don't have a pressure switch to shut them off when pressure builds. If the psi in the tire isn't quite there, just push the chuck back on the valve stem and keep filling. With this chuck you just push it on to the valve stem and it locks on automatically, no need to press the button and hope it locks on tight enough. The only time you need to touch the botton on the chuck is to release it. Its very easy to press on with zero air leak. Solid feel, and has some weight to it. They have a bigger model that might have been even nicer for a few bucks more.

These are great chucks. Clip on easy and stay on until the release button is pressed. Remember that these are for air gauges only and are not meant for air compressors. There is no check valve to stop flow. For air compressors the S2 series would be used.

Bought this to use with my new car tire pressure inflator / gauge. Works perfectly. Never leaks. There is an open flow version and a closed flow version. Just make sure you select the correct one for your application

Meh, so so. 2.5 Stars --Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. It is very valve specific. Sometimes I have to hold them in place, of which defeats the purpose. But other times they clip on and work great. It just depends on the stem. Update 11/22/2025 JACO reached out and offered a refund. Sounds like a company that actually cares. I declined a refund as I do still use the product, but would accept a new part. Either way, I accept the fact that the return window has closed and JACO has zero obligation to me for a refund at this point as far as I am concerned. I did not realize they have a lifetime warranty...Nice.. upgrading my review to 4 stars...Nice to have companies that stand by their products!

I have purchased a couple. They are easier to put on and take off the valve stems and don't leak. Much better than others that I have used

Very sturdy you can tell from the weight of each one that it’s not a cheap plastic thing I bought an adapter to attach this to my portable air compressor and it works perfectly no more screwing and unscrewing the hose fitting to the tire valve They lock on the tire valve with a push of the button and the same thing to release and they don’t leak air while attached or when you’re moving it to the next tire I recommend this
