Learn to fly before getting crazy.
This kite is fun to fly, especially for a beginner. Got to thinking I was getting good at this, and nose-dived it into the ground in a large parking lot. Broke the main spine and ripped the end out of the fabric...all my fault. Contacted Goutime about replacement parts, and those folks sent me another WHOLE KITE. Great customer service, but I doubt they'll do that over and over. People complaining about "cheap, breaks easily" are probably themselves at fault in their skill level.

Solid B+
Instructions that were included with the package were either not up to date with the current product, or possibly just incorrect. Nothing too major, especially if you have experience with delta kites. Aside from that it's a solid product with decent grade ripstop fabric.

Got the Red & Green one
I LIKE IT, I've tweaked it out, hell it hugs the sky👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 What's today the 20th and my blue one just arrived, gotta say : I compete in precision stunt kite competitions I still fly "Top of the Line" kites honestly this is not no "North Shore Radical" my competition kite but I've trained these 3 Babyeden Stunt Kites to perform, and I am IMPRESSED on the performance it's giving me for the price, hell my North Shore is $700 verses $40 bucks, buy it ... But I am experienced, I can make yours hug the sky, holla at me, I'm on the Facebook

Good for the price I guess.
Good for the price I guess. It's not strong enough for beginners on windy days, so start out gently. Kite lines are unnecessarily long - it's much faster and fun to fly when the lines aren't fed all the way out. After one too many hard crashes onto a grass sports field, the spine strut splintered. Purchasing a replacement strut would cost nearly as much as the kite (mostly due to the shipping) so I just bought a $5 carbon fiber tube with the same inner diameter as the outer diameter as the strut and slipped it over the broken section - it lives to fly another day. The trick to avoid hard crashes is: just before the kite is inevitably about to strike the ground do NOT pull on both lines simultaneously in a confused panic, but do the exact opposite and swing your arms up and run a few steps forward. It'll still crash, but a lot less hard. If I got to start over I'd buy a better brand like Prism. Prism Jazz Stunt Kite, Ice

Great starter kite, works right out of the box
It was super easy to setup and get flying. For a budget kite I was really impressed. It's nothing spectacular, but for the price it's perfect to get my 9yo into flying kites. He picked it up really quick.

Very poor materials, broke before completing even a short flight
I was doing the maiden flight with this kite in preparation for a friend learning how to fly. I have flown stunt kite for a decode or more and this was just a checkout flight in 8-10knt winds. The kite lifted off nicely and then started to spiral. I could see that one sponson was folding. When I got the kite back and disassembled it the leading edge sponson had broken completely through at the leasing edge ferrule. I have had carbon fibre rods crack and compress, but never a clean complete break. I think the rod was defective. The general quality of this kite is poor. The harness was not even on both sides, not markedly out of shape, but also not sufficiently well done to do any precision flying. You may say "what do you expect for $27"? Still I at least thought it could be flown and would be an inexpensive training kite. No such luck. A piece of junk.

Bang for the buck
For the price range that falls under holy cow is it fun to fly. I bought this for my son 16 years old and has never touched the lines of a stunt kite before. I wish the kite came with soft handles versus the cheap blue handles. They are hard. That can be easily remedied by going out and ordering yourself 10 buck soft handles. Even at total cost it’s a win for the amount of money you pay. The kite is surprisingly stable and maneuverable. The kite is not a speed demon spin and is about half of some of my nicer kites making it for the beginner. Dang it If you want to go and fly kite, just forget the water around you and focus on just flying a kite. I believe this is what was made for that and a beginner cut. The build quality is sturdy, but you can see where they cut some corners quality versus functionality at the minimum. I like it. It came with extra parts, realizing that the beginner might have a few interactions with the ground that doesn’t agree with the kite. I would highly highly recommend this kite to others
