DVT7110 Voicetracer Digital

This is an excellent purchase and does everything it says it claims to do the written instructions explain everything clearly it's best to get the information online the best two things that are fantastic one the remote control that you download is an excellent idea and the second is you don't need any wires to download it to your computer so you can print out what was being said I would give this a 12 on a scale 1 to 10

I bought this for a college class on Databases and SQL that does not have a textbook, hoping it would help me record the lectures for review, as I have a disability that causes issues taking notes. While I am not far from the professor, about 15-20 feet, I use it in Lecture mode. It works well for recording, picks up the professor well, but also picks up too much background noise, though I know its because of the function of the direction mic. I'd give the device a 4 out of 5 for ease of use, as there is a little learning curve for getting the device set up and working right. Even with reading the directions, some things weren't quite so clear. The operation could be more intuitive, but once you get over that little curve, works fine. Battery Life is excellent, I've charged it once for 10 hours of lectures, but don't have much replay time on the device. I haven't tried much of the other recording modes or features on the device, as I have only used it for this class. Instead, my favorite feature is being able to connect it to a PC and retrieve the recordings to play on my system while I am working on other mindless things, or digital notes. Haven't had my first test in the class yet, but it seems like I have learned so much in a class where a book isn't available. My personal advice however, is that if you are using this for a lecture - SIT CLOSE. While it does record everything in the 30x50foot room the class is in (can pick up most scooting, shuffling, normal talking), the directional mic pointed at the lecturer, close, will help ensure the best sound quality.

This is a decent sized audio recorder. Not what I would consider small anyway. I bought it because I wanted to be able to transfer my recorded sessions over to my phone and listen to them on the go with bluetooth headphones. However, my sessions are usually an hour or so long and when I transfer those files it took around 10 minute for one file using my Verizon wifi hotspot data. It's much quicker just hooking up any device to a computer, copying the file from there to my phone through a cord, than the speed of transferring digitally. For that alone, the product wasn't worth it to me because that's all I wanted. A quick easy wireless transfer process. I will say this though, I was impressed with the different qualities available for recording in the device itself. Though I can't guarantee how well they actually work.

Llevo con esta grabadora aproximadamente dos años y estoy encantada, es muy intuitiva de manejar, buena batería y muy buena calidad de sonido. Por ese precio ha superado completamente mis expectativas.

Léger et pratique

OK, I own several digital audio recorders, this one is definitely the most tiresome to use. Whoever designed this machine needs to have to do a real job using it. The build quality is fine but the controls are definitely not intuitive. One point often overlooked is that this is not the only piece of equipment I (and everybody else) has to operate and trying to remember how the device works means it gets left behind. Mics are average. It is slow to switch on, plays a tune (really?) when booting up, then decides it will record if you study the screen and have everything set correctly. Naaa ... not a favourite.
