Super Herobox
This little computer is a really great PC, and a super deal does everything it says it will, and more! I am using it for a media PC, connected to our big screen TV, with a webcam attached for Zoom meetings, and for playing streaming video. Works great! Starts up almost instantly. Totally silent. Unobtrusive. I see several reviews that say the ethernet port doesn't really work at Gigabit speed. Not true! Mine does. Not sure why they say that. I thought I might have the same issue at first, but turned out to be the ethernet switch it was connected to. I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon and they confirmed that it should, although after careful review of the Amazon listing, it claims only gigabit bluetooth, not specifically gigabit ethernet, but it does both. (Yes, it does have Bluetooth, which I use for a Bluetooth mouse). I don't do gaming, so I can't speak to that. I assume gamers would use bigger boxes. Lots of ports. Compact. Silent. Quick startup. Good storage. Great value. Highly recommend it!

Excellent for office/daily tasks, not for gaming
It simple does not get any better for the money, this is a product of excellent value. It is decently built, has a lot of USB ports, quiet and for office tasks it runs cool. Some important things about common complains in other reviews a) the cpu has base clock speed of 1.1ghz but it can be throtled up 2.4ghz. b) The wired network adapter DOES reach the expected speed, testing method was plugging it to a 900/600 fiber connection and running speedtest DESKTOP, resulted in a 940/620 due to protocol overheads and network hardware it just simply cannot get any faster. The wifi adapter is a basic intel model rated at 400-something mbps.. which also reaches close to expected rea world performance. Problems so far: Chrome crashes from time to time, this is probably a software bug . Running browser-based game emulators uses lots of cpu and it can barely handle it.

Decent little box
This is my 2nd herobox. I purchased both to use as small in home Linux servers and they work well for the purpose at a discount price. I have Ubuntu running one one with bind and nextcloud. The second I am running several samba shares from, print server, plex media server, and acts as my backup server for a few other machines. Both I added an additional SSD to, one a 1 TB and the other a 2 TB, no issues there. Booting from USB to install Linux ... the first herobox booted fine from the usb stick, in the BIOS (access with ESX+F7 at the perfect moment only, otherwise if too many key presses during boot it will just boot again) the default is set to try USB first. The second herobox refused to boot from USB even though set as first option in BIOS. Pressing F7 at the correct time during boot brought up the menu to choose device and I was able to boot from the USB just fine. Encrypting the boot device during install has had some interesting results. During boot you must press F7 and choose the encrypted device to boot from. Failure to do so results in a Windows recovery screen despite the fact that I cleared all partitions from the drive prior to install. Not a major issue, but one to keep in mind. On the first one, if I power off, or there is a power failure, must press the button to boot again, there is no method to have it boot on power restore. On the second one, if I power off from the OS or by holding the button, or there is power loss, I must unplug and replug the machine power cable or it will not power on again. Overall these are inexpensive devices and some small quirks are expected. I have not encountered anything comparable for the price ($179 after $20 coupon applied) that did not use an ARM processor (fine but don't want to mess around with ensuring everything I run works on ARM as well as x86_64). Another review said something like the network would only run at 100 Mbps however testing on both of mine has showed it is operating near the Gbps as expected.

Too slow for 4k, HDMI port just died within 2 months
What a waste of time and money. I was really excited about this and chose it after a lot of careful comparisons between other minipcs. It says it plays 4k smooth. That is a baldface lie, as honest as the screenshots of gaming, which you and I both no this isn't suited for gaming. The picture lies about gaming, the description lies about 4k. It will play 4k in KODI, but it is far from smooth *especially* in scenes panning side to side it seems to drop to about 10 FPS. That itself was a real dissapointment, since even the little low power mini ITX machine I built 8 years ago this was supposed to replace performed better. So I haven't been using the HTPC much, cause it sucks. And while it was sitting there not being used, the HDMI port stopped working. I know this is a hardware problem because it's not limited to either windows or linux which are both installed. HDMI doesn't work in windows, or linux, or even at the bios during bootup. VGA still works but that's useless to me as a media PC on a 4k tv. On the plus side, HDMI worked for at least long enough to get past the return window. So what do I do with this frisbee now?

I connected it to my LG TV and works perfectly fine. Speed is good and I recommend it if you don't have much to store and work on windows back ground. I would love it if it comes with more bigger SSD.

I am impressed at how great the video is in this little pc. I streams at 4K. It's small and light perfect to mount behind a TV. I highly recommend. Edit: The headphone jack is recessed and can make plugging headphone /speaker jacks a problem. Please, make the speaker jack flush with outside case. Otherwise, LOVE it.
