BUY IT, BEST rounded choice, for price, portability, reliability, & versatility. READ ME
I say BUY IT, BUY IT, here's why, read on, my thorough assessment and how to use all the features (manual is vague): This is MULTI-FUNCTION VERSATILE! I mean, itβs an FM radio, a bluetooth speaker, a PA system, tailgater, light guitar amp, a recorder, and a remote camping/hiking or emergency power-outage small charger for your phones. It can also power separate USB devices you may have like lights oh and it's a Karaoke machine party! Bring it to just about any occasion or party or group gathering and see what might develop! Additionally isn't this is a Great voice and confidence booster machine? I mean to practice on with the speaker/karaoke feature that could really help kids And adults strengthen any weak or shy voice or weak knees standing in front of a group. This is a Great all round item for yourself and your family and Friends. I should know because I bought several for all mine and it has even grown on the ones who thought they wouldnβt use it. Had Amazon mailed right to their address, check the gift option so you can add a message & a just in case return receipt. This is not a big expensive overkill karaoke tailgater box mounted on a suitcase wheels frame, karaoke machine monster. Instead itβs a sweet spot carry sized little capable monster instead. - PROS: Very very affordable, reasonably Good strong sound for what is it, a very reasonably priced rechargeable lithium ion battery powered speaker box with decent 6 hours of power on a charge. Solid heavy nice rugged heavy wood fiber shell with plastic end caps, seems it could be dropped and might survive without damage. I partially removed the large speaker to see inside and it is surprisingly deep heavy magnet speaker. Very good sound for it's size and little distortion at high volume. FM stores many (40-60) preset stations automatically, just long press the play button while in FM mode to activate scanning-store takes a while. Also allows manual tuning FM, enter the 3 digit station number for example for 98.9 press 989. Or press previous or next button to jump to auto scanned stations. Has super fun Echo effect, is great for when using as a PA etc. Built in carrying handle AND optional carrying strap. Party light has a good effect for it's size and really sets an active party mood along with the built in front dancing colors circle panel is always on with the unit. Compact in size And PORTABLE EASY. Can use the usb outlet to charge your phone! Has female 3.5mm input jack port for accepting a male to male headphone audio cable. For your older non bluetooth devices or if you want to reduce the devices batteries draw some by not using bluetooth. Cheap cords available at dollartrees btw. Almost like a reminiscent retro deluxe portable stereo. Can stand on it's side or bottom. Bottom has a bass reflex opening to let more bass come out the back of the main speaker and also has a smaller tweeter speaker. Has mic volume control knob so you can adjust when karaoking, this is pretty much a must on a karaoke box, some other models don't have. This seems to be the company's best karaoke model offering. I've read through many critical reviews of similar models and also some much more expensive machines and this machine stands out as the real sweet spot for the price and portability and reliability and features and sound. Maker gives some support through e-mail, your order number and question to [email protected] although their English is so so. Once paired, the bluetooth connects to your phone device upon turning on every time. The speaker announces which mode you are in when you turn on or press the mode button. This is a REAL good bluetooth speaker for our phones, much better than those expensive little boxes that donβt sound as good and canβt do all this can. Adjustable shoulder strap lets you carry it on your right side over your neck is the best just in front of or behind your hip while you're walking or hiking allows you to easily access the control panel as needed. Can use as a PA system or karaoke or leave the mic and cord at home and just use for a music jam out will keep the four legged bears away. The record function can be used for dictation and mic could be used to do some old fashioned anonymous street interviews without any video so I wonder if anyone will use it for that. Display shows files-track number playing and seconds of track played. It is very simple-limited, does not show artist/title playing. In FM mode, shows station frequency but not any song artist/title info. Has repeat song button which cycles from ALL to ONE. Transformer with cord is generous at 4 feet long, for recharging, although if leaving plugged in for continuous powered use, may seem a bit short, if your outlet is not close by. Great warranty, wow. - CONS: When you want to plug in the optional party light it ties up the USB port and covers some buttons. Only has 1 USB port. But really that's all you probably need and if that becomes a problem, you can buy a USB splitter or adapter to lengthen or provide more USB to plug in more devices although I really don't know how much power it can provide at once or if it can recharge something larger than a phone. FM reception could be better, the antenna doesn't seem to make a difference. FM station presets cannot be manually changed from what it auto stored, from what I can tell. Also does not offer manual FM scanning. Nowhere to store the mic and cable on the box when not in use. The mic works best if you speak down the top of it. From other comments, the mic can go out over time. Although a very affordable replacement mic can be purchased if it does, not a strong enough reason to not keep this great machine if the mic eventually fails. The charge transformer is 9 volts dc which requires house 110v current to charge, unlike some other offerings that use a usb to charge cable to recharge, which could be conveniently charged/powered from a vehicle power jack on the road. Doesn't look like you can use 2 mics at once at all or very easily. But 2 people can get close and share a mic at once! Wish it had more fun voice altering effects besides the cool echo, or artist vocals delete as some machines might. But the voice altering is more for kids and there are plenty of youtube songs with vocals deleted if thatβs what you like. Read further below for more info about that. It does Not have a random button. I can forget the bluetooth name and how to pair and that it can also charge phones. So I added a label to the front βBLUETOOTH βVK09β - PRESS MODE TO PAIRβ and to the back βPHONE-CHARGERβ. Wish the main volume control knob was larger than the other two knobs. I used my white paint pen to make it stand out, no big deal. Doesn't come with a karaoke personality changing WIG to wear! LOL Guess they can't provide everything but a wig could be fun for some groups when performing to get into character. Whatever helps peeps just do it's fun! The box details are good but it doesn't say it can recharge phones but the manual does. Hope this great feature isn't forgotten. Build in battery could be larger because although it does run for up to 6 hours, if you are also using it to charge your phone from a low to full using the battery, you might not get a full charge on your phone. I haven't tested it much on this but I see our latest large phones are between 2,000 and 4,000 mah battery size and this machine has a 2,000 size mah battery. So.. but for it's low price and it does play for hours and hours and hours on the battery. There has no bass or treble /equalizer adjustments, but then again it doesn't seem to need it and it's a great price with many other features. - Recording / load music feature: This will not record MUSIC from itself. This is probably for copyright reasons I suppose perhaps on all karaoke machines. Record only works and records onto a micro sd card or maybe a USB memory stick, if any inserted. What it does when the record button is pressed, is it goes into micro sd card mode and silences any music that was playing from the machine. At this time if the mic is not plugged in, then it records what the little mic hole built into the control panel hears. But if the mic is plugged in, then it records what sounds come into the mic(your voice). It creates a folder "JL_Rec" with .mp3 files of your sound recordings from the machine onto the inserted media. The USB stick OR TF SD MicroCard can PLAY back a recording(s) you've made as well although operation is sketchy. The maker says long press on REC button to record and short press to play. BUT more useful for me, you CAN load a USB stick OR SD MicroCard with Lots of Music from your computer and then insert into the appropriate slot and play for hours and hours from them if you push the mode button to select that input AND I bet the battery lasts longer compared to using bluetooth to use radio waves to draw music from my phone. I'm in my 50's and whole music collection is 20gb so a 32gb card is good for me for now. While playing a song the display first shows the file/track number then turns into a seconds counter. You can also use the numbered buttons to input a 4 digit number into the display and then it will jump to play that track and onward however it is numbering (alphabetically by artist is seems) them or use the previous or next track buttons to or hold them to advance within the track. The description says max is 32gb but I haven't had a problem with a larger USB or SD Card. I prefer the SD micro card over the slightly cheaper and the more-computers have USB port stick. Because usb stick sticks out and could get struck and damaged and keeps me from plugging in the disco ball light or a phone to recharge it. I may figure out how it counts and if it counts folders added last as the higher track numbers then I could put different genre music at the end, like mellow music and then enter a high 4 digit number to direct access and play from that group of tracks.. But you don't have to load a card with music, just use other inputs or the fm. If you buy a MicroSd card, you'll probably want to purchase one that comes with the inexpensive original size Sd adapter. Because your computer probably has a port for the original size Sd so you can insert the empty shell adapter into the port and then the micro sd memory card in to connect and fill with music. Here is the e-mailed back answer from the manufacturer, about recording instructions that are lacking from the owner's manual: "Hello dear, Please insert your SD card, make sure your SD card is inserted, after the SD card is successfully inserted and the prompt sound is heard, then long press βRECβbutton, Start recording after hearing the "recording mode" prompt, After recording, short press the "REC" button to play the recording, The recorded sound will be relatively small, please try it, Thank you!" Karaoking feature: This Is not a professional stage karaoke machine that requires you to purchase expensive song tracks that have the vocals of the artists removed. I say thank goodness lol. When Karaoking, I use my phone bluetooth so I can look at my phone screen display the lyrics from a youtube video. If you can bluetooth to your iPad or computer or tv and play youtube from the TV would be a nice big screen for a large audience. I search for songs with lyrics added but not the artistβs voice removed because I like the support just like when I'm singing to a radio. But you can find plenty of youtube songs with the artistβs voice removed as well just like the professional machines provide. Specs from box print: 40W RMS Frequency response 100hz-20rhz Distortion 1% S/N ratio 85db Build in battery: 7.4V 2000mah Charger specs: Per the label on the AC/DC Adapter: Input AC 110V / AC 240V 50/60 HZ .5A Output DC 9V .4A There's no brand or model info on the Adapter. The plug into machine end is like a medium small size jack. Tested adapter with a volt meter, the center core is positive, the outside shell is negative feed. Take Kar-aoking on!

Feature Rich
As far as portable karaoke machines go, this one is feature rich. You can program tracks, use a microSD, connect a USB stick, mic, guitar, Bluetooth, etc. This thing is a blast. The Great: Build - the case is sturdy and heavy. It's got thick bumpers on each end that act as legs and keep the knobs and stuff safe from accidental twists or button presses. Metal grill on the speaker with a plastic surround. It looks really good. It's "leather" wrapped look so it is similar in looks to a guitar amp. Sound - Pretty standard sound, bit it gets plenty loud. Guitar sounded great, and as a bluetooth speaker, this will fill a room. Connectivity - Lots of different inputs and ways to interact with the music. The echo effect is nice for the kids. It has a standard microphone jack so you can use your own, or the one bundled with it. Lights - Psychedelic! The light on the front is really cool, and it comes with a USB mini-disco ball which is also kinda fun. Functional and hilarious. Haha Battery - Has a built-in rechargeable battery. This is a fantastic feature. Played around with this for several hours over the past week and it is still working great without having a recharge (yet). The Okay: Microphone - The mic is very standard. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. At this price, it is more than acceptable. For a karaoke machine, it's perfect. Power Cable - It's functional, but it is VERY short. Only about three feet long. Would like to have one at least six feet. It's not too big of a deal because the battery seems to last very long on a full charge. Should last for an entire evening. Guitar - The guitar wasn't as loud as using a real amplifier, but this would work in a pinch. Maybe on a road trip or out camping...Would be fun to bring this along. My main purpose is for use at work. There are several times a year where I need something like this (festivals, parties, etc.) and this will be great. It's a portable speaker system that also plays music. Really impressed.

Bad microphone
Microphone didn't work. The connector was pushed in, thank God I bought microphones, just in case after reading the reviews of microphones not working or breaking rapidly. But it is the machine I needed. Too loud. Perfect though.

Karaoke machine
I was hesitant to purchase this speaker but I am super happy I decided to do it. We originally had an Ion speaker from Costco that eventually broke during use. The speaker was loud but not portable like this one. My grandsons birthday was on January 26 so we needed something small but powerful enough to be heard from front to back of a 20x40 tent. This speaker so versatile that it has multiple function modes like Bluetooth, aux and or Fm radio option. It also has a hook up for a guitar. The best one which my children loves is the microphone hook up option and the detachable disco ball that also comes as a feature to this awesome product. This speaker comes with a microphone and it is perfect for karaoke. I have never imagined something so powerful as this small portable versatile speaker would have everyone amazed at the way it functions. I have had so many people in all different work environments like construction, office, school, and dental ask me where can I purchase this product. I am very pleased with the ability to utilize this product at every occasion. I took it to a bday party, softball tournament, Super Bowl party and so much more. It is so easy to use and so light weight I can carry it like a back pack with no problem. This is definitely a product I donβt wanna forget at home. My nephews have been trying to sneak it away from me and take it home and they are quite picky with their speakers. On a good note he prefers this one over the one he got for Christmas that cost over $100. This is definitely worth every penny I spent.
