love this product, helps nails after wearing false nails, nice shine and good base-coat, sometimes i just use this one and add a top coat for about a week or 2. lasts if nails are properly prepped. dries easily with 2 thin layers

This Sally Hansen product is very hard to find in stores like CVS or Walmart. Those store usually carry it in Clear and not the Tinted version. I love the tinted version better. It serves as a basecoat if you want to use polish next. I have given up on colored polish altogether due to lots of cooking, dishes, and garden work. I use one coat for strength, then apply another coat to kind of "redo" the tips of my nails 2 days later, then even later in the week, add another coat and by that time my nails look almost as good as if they were done in the salon. It retains its shine thru all manner of housework! And if you have the dreaded nail ridges, it works as a ridge filler, too!

So I'm not the type of person that fussed over nails and spends money for a manicure. I do my own tending...and I think we'll. I need to keep my nails short because I'm a musician and you can't play an instrument with long nails. However you still want them to look nice. I usually wear a clear or with just a bit of color. Polishes in the past would break and chip away the first or second day and I always thought, "This is ridiculous...why am I'm buying nail polish that just doesn't last worth a damn." And it wasn't cheap brands either. So I came across this and thought, "Ok....here I go again. Let's try it." Well let me tell you....I painted my nails with two coats a week ago and they have NOT chipped or flaked off. I'm sold. This is the one for me. So there you have it. Hope this helps someone out there.

great base coat. really smooth application with rounded end brush. the slight pink color, i think, is mostly to differentiate from their top coat (also good) which is clear. the color doesn't show on the nail. helps nail polish stay for 2 weeks without chipping.

Wearing this base coat as I type, I can say this is by far the best base nail coat I've ever used, even better than the top brands that cost way more. This coat goes on smooth and glossy and doesn't have a super sticky texture. My nail polish clings with the jaws of life to it, so there's no flaking like I always get with even the expensive brands. Will buy again.

I use this brand base coat and top coat and my nail polish can go almost two weeks without chips or peals. These are almost two weeks old and all I’ve done is give it an additional top coat every 4 days. You can even see how much my nail has grown since I last painted them.
