Safari Discovery Expedition Transforming Orca Whale to Robot Toy, 4 inch Action Figure, Great Gift for Boys and Girls

My nephew is obsessed with transformers so I got this for him- tbh, as sort of a joke. I was obsessed with orcas as a kid and thought this would be a funny addition to his transformer collection. He LOVED IT. It’s not super easy to transform, and far more clunky than the name brand transforming toys but he thought it was delightful. I appreciate the weirdness of it. I wish there was a whole set of absurd transforming toys like this one.

We originally bought one like this at Sea World and it broke within a week causing my 3-year-old to be devastated. This one is a little smaller than the original but he loves it just as much!

If your child is begging for an orca whale transformer then this is it! 5 stars for the happiness it brought us both that I actually found one, but it broke the second day (part of the tail snapped as it’s hard to maneuver) but he was so happy he didn’t care. We’ve had the toy a month or so and it’s broken in two other places but it’s still one of his favorites, so in that sense it was money well spent I guess….my son is 4 so it might be better for an older child who can be more gentle in wielding the transformer pieces back into the orca shape

I got this for my 7yo. He loves it. Its simple enough to transform that he can go back and forth during his action figure play. Nothing complicated as the ones marked for 8yos.

This toy literally broke less than one minute after we opened the package. During the very first (attempted) transformation, one of the parts broke! The plastic snapped, taking a spring with it, and there was no simple repair to be had. The transformation is actually pretty cool, and my kid came up with a backstory for the damaged whale with its missing tail section. But, the toy feels very cheap, and I'm pretty sure more irreparable damage will occur soon.

My nephew loved this. The concept is phenomenal but poorly executed. Fins were broken upon arrival. Very stiff. Better to be used as a figurine not an action figure.
