Best blocks out there.
We had these same blocks as kids. They survived us as kids, my children, and would probably be fine with my grandchildren, but they were given away years ago. So, I bought both my grandson and granddaughter a set of these blocks. They are easy to assemble, uniform in size and the kids took to them immediately. They were building an knocking down towers in no time. These blocks are effectively indestructible. The kids can easily stand on them without any issues. I probably could, but didn't want to try, but as I said above, the prior sets lasted for multiple generations.

They're very slick and slippery, but you can "laminate"!
We had these in our home 30 yrs ago for our kids, and they played with them everyday for years. The kids built furniture, forts, whatever they imagined. They're one of the BEST toys ever! The bricks back then had a waxy-type laminate on them that gave them grip-ability. Recently, I ordered a set of these Mondo Bloxx for a toddler friend, and I was so disappointed that they have made these without a laminated coating. These, along with others I've looked into, only have paper over cardboard, and are slick and slippery. One can't build much of anything without them slipping and sliding out from underneath themselves. Since these are very sturdy and strong, I wanted to make this work, so I googled how to laminate paper. One answer was "tape". So, I loaded a tape dispenser gun with crystal clear, non-cloudy packing tape. (First used a cloudy tape, and the blemishes showed on the brick.) While the bricks were laid flat, I "laminated" them, covering them with tape, smoothing it out with the edge of a credit card. I didn't cover the cardboard that folds inside the brick, so it was pretty quick and easy. They folded-up perfectly; they look great, and now they are laminated with SUPER grip-ability, ready to build whatever the imagination can think of, with the ability to grip together and not slip out from underneath themselves. Laminating will also solve the problem that people have reported of color rubbing off on their hands. I highly recommend these bricks once laminated. They are fabulous; your kids will have fun with them for years to come.

Perfect for multiples ages!
I bought 2 sets of these for my grandsons aged 2 and 3. My own little brother had a set of these that we played with for years, and I wanted my grandsons to have something like them. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see so many of them in one box! Assembly was easy, but took a few minutes to figure out. Not all directions are there on the box. They were actually easy to put together once I figured it out. They are very sturdy. The boys have played with them almost exclusively for 3 days. Us grandparents have had fun too. I can definitely recommend these.

LONG-LASTING CREATIVE PLAY
These heavy duty cardboard bricks are very well designed for both creative play and longevity. They will support the weight of most young children. There are 40 of them, so there are countless ways a child can create and play with structures. A favorite use is to build something up only to ultimately make it tumble down. I gave a set 2 years ago to my youngest granddaughter, who was 3 years old at the time and still plays with them at age 5. I gave another set my 3-year old grandson this year, and he and his 6-year old sister had a grand time building structures and tunnels with them on Christmas day. These bricks are easily stackable and storable.

Excellent toy for kids
Excellent toy for kids. My two daughters love to play with them a lot. The block bricks are strong by the way they folded. My 40 lb. daughter can even sit on a block bricks chair made by her. They are good for imaginative play. It is easy for my daughters to build something with them and they are easy to clean up. They just stack them up at a corner. Since it is easy to clean up, they play with them almost everyday. At first they thought 40 pack is a lot, but after they have fun playing with them, they wanted more.

Many hours of fun
I ordered this set of 40 boxes for my grandson. His mom isn't too happy how much space they take up in his room, but he's loving building train stations and other things with them. They're very sturdy. I've seen him sit on a stack of them (he is seven years old) without doing damage, but they are cardboard and won't last forever. Still--lots of fun! Wish they didn't cost so much.

Great block set
Bought these to supplement an older set of cardboard blocks that had lots of small (quarter-size) blocks, but few of the larger ones. Adding 40 large blocks allowed my grand-kids to create great constructs (and great messes <grin>). These blocks are top quality and were pretty easy to assemble, although I would not want to take them apart for storage (true of all cardboard blocks of this type). As others have mentioned, they are a bit slippery, but I didn't think that detracted from the play fun. Cardboard blocks of these type are one of the most used toys when the grand-kids come over, from the 2-year old to the 11-year old, and that is the same as when I was their age and we had these in my parent's basement. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Best toy ever!
This is one of my all time favorite toys. I had some kind of big blocks in kindergarten(I am in my 50's) and loved them So 22 years ago I bought some for our son. I was so disappointed as they are cardboard ! However I was wrong, they lasted years! Every child that came over played with them big kids and small. We even had a handful left for the grand kids. They wanted to play with them and we did not have enough. That is when I bought a set for the first grandson. They have had them over two years and he plays with them daily. I bought these for the next grand son and he loves them too! There are enough to build a fort and it is so fun to see where there imagination leads them!
